Has potential, however I found it hard to grasp the lack of awareness in staff.

To elaborate - we were a table of two, we ordered, my partners order arrived, all good....10 mins later still no sign of my food, I'm not very formal so i didn't mind, these things happen.. we continued talking then next thing i know another 10 minutes have passed and still no sign of my food. My partner is now well finished their food and i still haven't been served, so i now get worried and walk up to tell the staff. Absolutely no comprehension of why i was bothered or even why i was complaining, as if this was completely normal for them. No apology, no even acknowledgment as to why this weird thing happened. I sit down and then its another 10 minutes before they gave me my food.... which turned out to be cool.... like seriously???. Again when food dropped down, no acknowledgment of anything, no apology, it was like nothing happened. When I was up telling them there was an issue i could see an order that was the same as mine on the pass but obviously i have no factual evidence it was mine, but when my food was dropped down cold, my bet is that is that it was what was on the pass. Then going up to pay, again absolutely no comprehension something was wrong, they weren't even arsed to ask "How was everything" just heres the bill and "This is what you owe us".

So to summarise...There was a 30 minute gap between my partners food arriving and mine....To be clear we ordered at same time.

But hey, maybe I was the one in the Wrong for thinking it should...

I used to really like the Pear Tree for its lovely atmosphere but I’m afraid that after my experience today, I will not be returning and will not give any praise about the cafe to friends. The bathroom was in a terrible state with water all over the floor, no toilet paper or paper towels and trash overflowing. When I alerted a member of staff they just put in 2 stacks of toilet paper and did nothing else. I ordered the avocado toast which has been gorgeous in the past with 2 full slices of fresh bread and plenty of avocado, but received 1 1/4 thin, almost burnt slices without much on it. When I explained my disappointment to that same member of staff at the till, saying how it wasn’t the lovely quality it’s been before and I didn’t feel it was worth paying 10.50 euro, he didn’t care to see the photo I took, acted as if I was over exaggerating and he didn’t believe me (even responding with attitude). Extremely disappointed that not only did I have to pay the full price, but there was...

We popped in here on a Sunday in December. The restaurant has a large outdoor deck that I imagine is wonderful during the summer or on a sunny day (today was rainy). The inside felt warm, cozy and inviting. They must have just decorated for Christmas. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. I chose the scrambled eggs and added avocado. My husband chose the mini Irish breakfast. We both were hungry and felt satisfied and full. The coffee was good as well. Both meals came with delicious freshly made sourdough bread. They make all of their pastries in house daily. I wish I had room for a danish or a croissant, but I was way too full. Incidentally they have a deal for a coffee and pastry for about £5. We paid £32 not including tip. They have a little tip jar by the register and we tipped there. Advice I would give to tourists, skip the expensive standard hotel breakfasts and venture out. Upon my next return to Galway, I will come...

First of all this place looked lovely. I came here today for lunch. The staff was very friendly and cheerful. The table that I sat, had food remains, and I was surprised that no one noticed it. Intially, I got my smoothie and then my salad. Two different servers came to me, still they do not pay attention to the food remains in my table. Talking about the food, it was good. I wouldn’t say it was the best. I ordered a strawberry smoothie and a Goat cheese salad. I told the server I want half chicken and half avocado add-ons, however, she put chicken and avocado adds, which made a total of six extra euro, and the portion was very, very small. I would love to come back to this place and try something, but for now, I am not quite happy, but I feel like they are a place with a lot of potential .
