We ordered ramen and salmon and tuna Noriaki. Ramen was tasteless with the sabe veggies they throw to sit fry. It was nothing like proper ramen with umami taste. Noriaki had tiny amount of fish you couldn’t even taste. Most disappointing meal ever! If you know how the food should taste like don’t go there and save yourself disappointment! Ahhh plus they forgot about our order, so not only we had to wait almost 30min for Noriaki and then we’re served something like this! Yes we ordered ramen for kids and asked for not spicy and ramen doesn’t have to be spicy to have flavour and if you don’t understand then I have no further comments! Kids are 5 and 3 and couldn’t even eat that! Regarding Noriaki I don’t expect big portions and I did not complain about that. There was literally no fish there as per photos and again if you think it is ok to serve that as tuna or salmon Noriaki please think twice! Please don’t lie here to make yourself look better! You did not serve kids first cause it takes them to eat longer. Your staff confirmed they forgot and apologised for forgetting the rest of the order that we waited for for 30min. After I came and ask where is the rest of the food it was served within 5min. Restaurant was half empty so please! I wish you good luck cause with this attitude and quality of food you will need it!

Yesterday, my friend and I visited Osaka in Salthill, and it was a pleasant experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was quite inviting, with a Japanese decor. The staff were lovely and professional, attending to us with a friendly way. We ordered two dishes: the Osaka Ramen Noodles and the Chicken Tatsutaage Donburi. The Osaka Ramen was a traditional Japanese big bowl noodle soup, beautifully presented with spring onions, sweet corn, mushrooms, and garnished with sesame seeds. The flavors were decent, and the broth had a comforting depth. The Chicken Tatsutaage Donburi featured marinated chicken that was crispy fried and served on a bed of wok-fried rice, mixed vegetables, and teriyaki sauce. The chicken was delightfully crispy and the combination of flavors worked well together. The rice and vegetables were cooked to perfection, making it a satisfying and hearty dish. Overall, our visit to Osaka Japanese Restaurant was enjoyable. The food was decent, and the pleasant ambiance and professional staff made it a nice place to dine. If you're looking for a relaxed dining experience with traditional Japanese dishes, Osaka is worth a visit.

It's excellent to have a Korean BBQ in Galway finally. The set menu is really decent and good value for money. There are some features from a more authentic Korean BBQ missing, however I would still recommend it. The atmosphere is quite cold, minimal and not very welcoming, but the staff make up for it, greeted us quickly and were very attentive all night. It may just be like this because they are just open. We tried the full set menu, adding a duck noodle dish and several sushi options. I look forward to returning to try their hot pot.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent visit to your establishment as a Deliveroo rider. On two separate occasions, I encountered unprofessional behavior from the staff, particularly the cashier, which has compelled me to share my experience.

Incident Details:

During my latest visit, I was dressed in casual attire rather than my Deliveroo uniform. Upon entering, the cashier greeted me warmly, assuming I was a regular customer. However, once I identified myself as a Deliveroo rider there to collect an order, her demeanor shifted noticeably to one of rudeness and impatience. She informed me that the order would be ready in 3-4 minutes; however, I ended up waiting for 40 minutes. I understand that restaurants can be busy, but providing inaccurate wait times and displaying discourteous behavior towards delivery personnel is unacceptable.

Concerns:

Respect and Professionalism: Every individual, regardless of their role, deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy. The abrupt change in the cashier's attitude upon learning of my purpose was both disheartening and unprofessional. Accurate Communication: Providing realistic wait times is crucial, especially for delivery riders who are on tight schedules. Miscommunication leads to inefficiencies and affects our ability to serve customers promptly. A Call for Empathy:

Delivery riders work diligently to ensure customers receive their orders in a timely manner. While our dreams may be modest, we take pride in our work and deserve to be treated with dignity. Additionally, even small tips, such as 50 cents or 1 euro, can significantly boost our morale and encourage us to continue providing excellent service.

I hope this feedback prompts a reflection on how delivery personnel are treated and leads to improvements in staff training and customer service...

I was there the first time on valentine's day. Everything was great, food was delicious, treatment was excellent. Because of that, I was happy to invite some friends to try this new place in Galway, of which we had a completely different experience. We ordered different dishes, where my friend ordered a Pad Thai. Her food looked very strange compared to the remaining, the noodles kinda overcooked and all broken/glued together, some gone off taste, and it didn't taste like the regular pad Thai you order in most places. When we raised the issue, the cook informed that the recipe was different than other places, but what we found a bit frustrating was the lack of understanding that the issue was mostly down to the quality itself than a "different recipe". She hasn't been offered another option, properly apologized by the issue or tried to have the issue solved. If we hadn't shared our food with my friend after the issue, she would have left hungry, which is not what you'd want to do after having spent over 70e in a place. When we went to pay, we were changed for the full price and again, no apologies or tried to have at least some empathy for her situation, and I felt embarrassed to have invited them to this place and having had such a weird treatment by the staff.

The place had a lot of potential to have a loyal customer, but after this experience I don't think I'm going to be back. And I'm giving this as a constructive feedback as I've worked in hospitality in Galway for over 7 years, so I totally understand how hard it is to work in the sector and make everyone happy, but if the situation had happened to a customer of mine, I'd have tried to make them to leave happy, and not with the sensation that "ok, I know better than you about the cuisine, and if you didn't like it, it's not...

I always ordered take away from Osaka and it was always perfect, really good food and ready on time. I decided to go in today with a friend that never been there and heard good things about the place. We arrived at 9pm, we've been told to sit anywhere and we did. When the girl came to take our order (and after she rushed us into it), she told us to go to another table as that one was "for grill" and it was too late for that (please note: we asked beforehand if that table was okay) We changed table without any complaints, got our food pretty quickly and:

  1. it wasn't as nice as always
  2. the same girl that was kinda rude, came a few times to take our empty plates and pointed to the plates far from her while we were eating pretending that we passed them on to her
  3. At 9.35 pm, as the other customers left and we were still half way our food, she completely stopped the music and all we could hear was her screaming at her colleagues. They weren't even closed for service yet.
  4. At 10.01 pm we hear screaming from the till "are you finished?", we ignore the question as we couldn't believe she was asking us.. as she shouted again "girls, are you finished eating?". We of course didn't scream back as she walks towards our table with a bill on her hands and half way to the table she says "are you finished eating? We are closed. Are you paying cash or card?". We still had half bottle of wine on table and food on the plates. As that was unbelievably awful, we asked for a take away box and put the bottle in our bag and left.

As two persons that previously worked as waitress I would have never thought of leaving a review like this one and could have never thought of having such a bad service. I might still order take away from the place as food is not too bad, but service...
