I had a beautiful gluten free meal at this Limerick restaurant. But even better.. the friendly, helpful couple who own and run it made my dining experience most enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it for breakfast, lunch and dinner, especially for anyone with special dietary requirements. They make sure you have a full dining experience. I'll return definitely!
Another 5 stars for Dasco Deli! Being coeliac, eating out can be boring, even downright dangerous, if the restaurant is not careful about cross contamination. Dasco never fails to impress me. I heartily recommend the chicken adobo to my fellow coeliac sufferers! Carlos made it for me specially with gluten free soya sauce. The quality of the chicken was superb and the portion huge ! I can't wait to return to repeat the experience. The price was so reasonable, unbelievable value for money. I couldn't eat desert, so generous was the helping, though the halohalo looked amazing. The cappoccino I could manage however and it was delicious and large! My companion had the "mini" breakfast, which was excellent, cooked to the highest standard. The title "mini" however was deceptive he professed, as the portion was extremely generous. All this glorious food served with the usual friendly, cheery, uplifting service from the lovely Filipino owners. Living in Dublin, I never miss a visit to Dasco when...
Read moreDrove from Dublin to try this place. The food itself was ok, but you can get better Filipino food elsewhere in Ireland, or just cook it at home. It didnât taste the most authentic. My Filipino partner agreed. The staff was very divided on politeness. Some staff were super lovely, but others were almost rude. We witnessed one member of staff being really dismissive of an elderly patron whenever he tried to ask for anything, and it put myself and my partner off a lot. She also was not very welcoming to us. As for the shop portion, itâs a bit more expensive than other Filipino shops Iâve been to and the range isnât amazing, but for how small Dasco Deli is, itâs not bad. Altogether, Dasco Deli is an ok experience. If youâre in Limerick already and want to try Filipino food, you may as well check it out, but itâs not worth travelling long...
Read moreI visit Dasco DeLi as often as I possibly can for three simple reasons: first, the food is always, and I mean always, top class! They serve both Irish food and the native Filipino dishes, everything from a simple coffee to a really filling three-course meal. Second, everything is just unbelievably cheap! I could afford to eat there three times a day, every day if my free time allowed and not break the bank! Thirdly, the ambience. It's absolutely clean and bright, from the decor to the serving areas, and the owners are so warm and welcoming I feel like it's a second home to me! If you are in a hurry they serve take-always but I myself prefer to sit down there and relax. They even offer free WiFi. I urge you to try this place out. It's...
