City Grill in Limerick is a true hidden gem for anyone craving authentic, flavorful food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel right at home, and it’s clear that this place takes pride in both its food and its service. It’s a very good, family-friendly spot – perfect for a casual dinner with kids or even a relaxed gathering with friends. One of the standout dishes has to be their chapli kebabs. What I can easily say is that they serve these freshly, and the taste instantly transports you back to the flavors of Pakistan. There’s a distinct homemade quality to them – the kind of flavor you’d get in a family kitchen back home. Spiced just right, juicy, and served hot off the grill, the chapli kebabs are a must-try for anyone who appreciates authentic Pakistani street food. Beyond that, the menu offers a good mix of grilled items, curries, and sides that cater to a variety of tastes, without compromising on quality. Each dish feels thoughtfully prepared, with fresh ingredients and attention to detail. You can tell this isn’t fast food – it’s freshly served and full of flavor. The environment itself is clean and casual, with plenty of seating and a welcoming vibe. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable taking your family, knowing everyone will leave satisfied. All in all, City Grill delivers on both taste and atmosphere. If you’re looking for a place that combines fresh, delicious food with the comfort of traditional Pakistani flavors, this is definitely worth a visit. Especially for those missing the taste of home, City Grill’s chapli kebabs are something special.

Very nice afghan/Turkish restaurant in limerick city, right in front of the milk market. First time I went there for dine in, and second time I ordered for delivery… food was great in both instances. Generous portions ans affordable prices. I honestly was surprised with the size of portions… quite big. I tried their special mixed shish kebab (meal) that comes with rice or naan bread + salad, garlic/chilli dip + fries and a drink. It’s honestly worth it. The only negative comment is that there’s no separation between the kitchen where they cook and the seating area. If you sit near the counter, you’d suffocate from the grilling smell.

After five days in Ireland we needed something not pub food and a Guinness and City Grill was perfect. Not many tourists, but the number of locals and Garda (kinda State Police) who came in while we are there attest to the quality and authentic flavors. Don’t be afraid if no one is in there! Step up and order your favorites. Did I mention how reasonably priced it was? Bonus for us tourists is its right across the street from the Milk Market which also a fun stop in Limerick. Go get you some!

The attention from the guy at the cashier was fine, he doesn’t speak English but we asked him to point at what he wanted and he charged me. It was my first time at the place, the dish arrived and everything was fine. A while later, just as we were about to leave, the waitress came over and told me I had to pay an extra 7 euros because they gave me a different dish than the one I ordered. I explained which dish I had ordered and showed her the payment, to which she simply said I had to pay the difference — and in a tone that was not appropriate, especially knowing it wasn’t my mistake. In the end, I paid to avoid making a scene, but the experience was far from pleasant. I wouldn’t go back or recommend this place to anyone. There are ways to say things and solve problems, and some customer service training wouldn’t hurt. Also, they should know how to resolve things when the mistake is theirs, because in my case, as the customer, I have every right...
