Maggie choo"s — Restaurant in Limerick

Dreadful place it may be open but it appears not to serve drink! Having entered 230 on a Friday .. relatively quiet... barman ... ooops barboy little to no experience behind a bar... Although sitting at the bar in view I waited 10 min for him to notice me... asked for a pint Guinness... he grunted something ... and basically ignored me. He appeared in front of me again few minuets later chatting to another girl working behind the bar... I asked ‘how long does it take to get a Guinness’ as there were only two people sitting at the bar. He replied I’m making cocktails! You’ll have to wait! I said no I can go somewhere else! I had not asked him what he was doing!! They say mamers maketh man.. if he had replied one second sir I’ll get it straight away ! Or even just a few mins .. I may have stayed.. Other than how to use a till They don’t teach bar staff nowadays - customer service is what it says ... it keeps the customer’s happy I’ll go somewhere they want to...

Bouncers are absolutely disgraceful. Was out for dinner with wife and they refused entry claiming one of us had too much to drink. We had one glass of wine each consumed with dinner. Meanwhile he let others in who were clearly under the influence and he just smirked when we asked why he did not refuse them. Same bouncer as others complained about here and I sensed the other bouncer on duty was embarrassed but could not say anything against the guy suffering from small man syndrome. Absolutely no reason to refuse entry as we were a well dressed couple in our late 30's and in no way whatsoever intoxicated. I have been to pubs and clubs throughout the world and never did this happen. Leaves an extremely poor impression of Limerick city and of this establishment. By the way we went to House on the river front for drinks after this incident and the bouncer welcomed us in a friendly and professional manner. Shame on Maggie Choos and the horrible bouncers they...

We are group of 11 people,out to celebrate 40th bday,so we had dinner in george hotel and wanted to continue the celebration in 101 but sad to say we were stopped outside telling us that we are not allowed to come in,we asked what would be the reason and only they said its the management..we kept on asking and the same answer we got, we cant think of any answer ourselves except because we are asians,,take note we just had our dinner in george on our way we are just happy talking to each other as its been long time we didnt see each other..is it not allowed now to laugh before we can enter such establishment? We are all dissapointed specially from a well known place that we thought good service is provided. U couldve done better.. let alone people that are more drunk lookin was passing us and u let them in..shame on your securities who cant even tell who is drunk or not and cant even tell whats the reason why we...
