Kay's Kitchen — Restaurant in South Dublin

When people can make the difference, this is the place to be I went with the family to the square this morning.... We realized that kids were so hungry, even if earlier than usual because of the excitement... So we head around and we saw the pretty restaurant (kay) with plenty of choice. My 2years old was having a little melt down and a fantastic lady from the kitchen approach me to insure I was looked after... So nice. Then I went to get more food and again she was trying to help while they were getting ready for lunch & the cashier was a cherry on the cake because with the manager did help me to sort the other child and..... Just these things that you can't buy... Best restaurant experience ever & the food is well presented and very good. Many thanks & hope whom reading this will be able to enjoy...

4 times I have been to this place to attempt to have some eggs. And on all four occasions they refused to make poached eggs. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and couple of times. But on one occasion i was only getting poached eggs and some toast. I was told then that they don’t do breakfast at that time despite it being eggs which is an all day food for them from what I see on all menus. And now this morning in an entirely empty restaurant my self and my partner are told no for the second time this week. Appalling customer service, don’t offer it at all if your staff are unable or seemingly unwilling to make them because they cannot be bothered. 10+ years I worked in hospitality and I would have fired a member of staff for this frankly unacceptable approach to...

Would I Recommend? -Yes -Nice Decor -Nice Staff Decor was very nice, lovely atmosphere to the cafe and restaurant it had a more homely and local feel. Staff seemed very nice. I personally only experienced the cafe part. Tasting the coffee and pastries. The coffee was good but not the best of the best but it was perfectly priced in my eyes having experience in hospitality it came with a complimentary biscuit which was a lovely touch. Cakes seemed to be pricey, If they are homemade they are priced correctly but if they're ordered in, they are over priced. Covid signs were clear to understand and if in the square id recommend it to try its a nice spot to escape from your everyday cafe...
