My recent visit to Harpur Eleven Bistro left much to be desired. I hope this feedback helps improve the overall customer experience:
Cold Wait Outside: Upon arrival, my wife, her friend, and our children were left waiting outside in the cold for approximately 10 minutes. Despite their visible discomfort, no effort was made to accommodate them during this time. Lack of Acknowledgment: The lady at the window saw them but did not acknowledge their presence. It was disheartening, especially considering the weather conditions and the fact that they had young children with them. Inconsistent Service: When my wife’s friend finally entered the café to request service, she was told that orders could not be taken from the window. This contradicted our previous experience, as we had purchased coffee from the same window before. Concerns About Bias: I sincerely hope that the staff’s behavior was due to oversight or laziness rather than any discriminatory reasons. My wife’s race should not impact the level of service...

2nd time eating here and it was very disappointing. Plating skills are severely lacking, ordered a cream cheese bagel with salmon and the plate was drenched in oil, so much so I had to wipe it myself with a napkin and even then it was still drowned in oil. Bagel was stale and totally inedible, cream cheese was barely passable. On top of this there was no waiter around for me to ask for help so I had to bring my plate to the front desk myself to get some help. My partner ordered pancakes and they were partially raw. Totally unacceptable. It seems to me that a lot of effort went into making this place look just right, unfortunately nowhere near as much effort went into creating the menu or training the staff. Hopefully some of these things can be addressed in the future as there is...
Read moreWell the building and quality of construction is second to none. Magnificent gardens, a real surprise and an oasis off Slippery Lane Wexford. It is a credit to whoever put so much of themselves into this property. The food, however, was disappointing. I have respect for cafe’s who offer a limited menu, however, when the menu is limited, the dishes need to be delivered perfectly, ours were not. I was so disappointed, because when I saw the premises, my expectations were high. The staff need to be trained properly, simple laughing when I pointed out there was an item of food missing from my order, is not good service. No desert menu either, pity! Put some money into menu development and staff training, it will...
