Jasmine House — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Bray

Food was ok nothing special but to be fair not bad either. It was pricey for what we got and they over charged when I got the bill. I enquired about the over charge and they tried to justify it saying deserts where not included in the menu we ate from (a three course special). This didnt sit well as when the desert menu originaly came I asked if it was the right one for the three course special menu we where eating from as I thought it might be the standard desert menu and i was told it was included in the special three course menu I then asked a second time if the server could "double check as I was pretty sure it was the wrong menu" but she came back after checking and said that it was the right one. Clearly when bill time came it was not included and I'd been forcibly upsold 4 extra deserts. There was also another discretion on the bill I'd also been charged extra for the kids desert which was supposed to be included in the kids menu they told me that it wasnt included because the kids meal came with a glass of water with a splash of diluted blackcurrant and this cancelled out the desert which was advertised as free on the kids menu again another excuse as the menu also included the diluted drink when we took a second look at it. So a meal already on the expensive side became that much more expensive and left a bad taste of been ripped off in our mouth, we payed the extra but they have lost 5 bums for 5 seats permanently. In the long run the greed and deception will cost them as we eat out regularly and they won't see a euro more...

Reasonably-priced food and friendly staff. The Jasmine House has been in Bray for many years and occupies a specific niche in the restaurant hierarchy

The menu is a little basic, but the quantities are good and you won't leave hungry. My only reservation would be that the food seems to be stuck in the 1980s, with a lot of sugar used in the soup and sauces

As with a lot of restaurants these days, they have to rely on the takeaway business midweek and there is usually no need to book. Busier at the weekends and booking would be advisable, but they will try and find you a seat

Absolute disgrace. Tried ordering on line for takeout. They couldn't take order without mistakes, I asked them to read back order to confirm it was right,they hung up. Eventually after many calls I had to go down myself to clarify,they still had order wrong. I asked to speak to manager. Lady came out from back. As I complained she just kept laughing nervously. Eventually got correct food. But what an ordeal. She then told me she wasn't even the manager. I have been a loyal customer for over 30yrs,but sadly never...
