Went here for lunch with my daughter thinking it will be nice as the coffee shop look decent from the outside. The staff was unwelcoming, told us to sit down not even pointing us where to go. We didn't even know where to go as there are seems to be multiple doors. I ordered a Garlic Chicken Ciabatta, they served me toast sandwiches with crisps on the side so I told them these are not ciabatta. They replaced it with ciabatta that look like was bought from the grocery shop nearby served in a plate with no effort put in whatsoever. We've been to many coffee shops in Navan, around the country and abroad but this is the worse experience I had. My daughter's strawberry drink was served in a plastic cup and my coffee was in a paper cup, by the way we are sitting in, hello! The knife was also dirty with mud or something on it. I will never go back and there are plenty other lovely cafes in Navan that are way better for the money that I paid for.
Answer to the response: I went to your cafe to eat and relax not to have multiple complaints. I already voice out about the sandwich, I didn't have time nor the enerygy to complain again for your multiple 'mistakes'. I didn't know the babyccinos are for babies as your waiter didnt even say a word not even informing me what it was. I thought it was a small cappuccino, I don't clearly look like a child so it's the waiters responsibility to let your customer know what are they ordering. He looked like he didn't even want to be there at all! I taste the babyccino and thought it was warm milk so I didn't drink a second sip anymore and put it aside. I didn't eat at all (lost my appetite from your disgusting knife) my daughter ate half of the sandwich because she said it was a waste not to eat it however she couldn't finished it because of the unpleasant taste and texture.    Read moreI recently visited Leon's cafe in Navan, and I must say I had a rather disappointing experience. I ordered a crepe with bacon, but the plate it was served on had numerous scratches, which was quite off-putting. The bacon was extremely hard, and swallowing it was a painful experience. However, hunger prevailed, so I managed to finish it.
My partner ordered French toast with bacon, and unfortunately, the bread was soggy, which was not at all appetizing. It's worth noting that this cafe had received great reviews, and we had hoped for a better experience.
I sincerely hope that this feedback is taken constructively and not as an offense. We were genuinely upset with our entire dining experience, which is why we didn't voice our concerns while paying. It would be great if Leon's could consider serving their food on better plates in the future.
I had to edit this review and add a response to the owners reply!
The owner replied to my comment and my partners comment by saying that it was busy and we did not raise any complaints when we visited. We clearly mentioned why we did not give any feedback in review itself. Also it is up to the customers to decide when to give a feedback. There are many busy restaurants and cafes in navan itself who are very professional when it comes to their service. the whole response with a sorry and saying âoh but you didnât say anything during the visitâ is very unprofessional. And being a hospitality management student too I know this is not how customers...
Read moreUnfortunately, I can't recommend Leon anymore. I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service we received at your Leon restaurant today, 13.10.24. Despite being informed of a 15-minute wait, we unfortunately had to wait over an hour for our food. When I inquired about the delay, I was given another 15-minute estimate, which again proved inaccurate. To make matters worse, my friend's order for a hot sandwich without tomato was incorrect twice, arriving cold and with tomato both times. Additionally, her drink was not served until after the meal, despite her request. We also ordered croissants and waffles to accompany our coffee, but due to the slow service, our coffee had grown cold by the time the pastries arrived. We were waiting another 20 minutes .The croissants were served with melted cream, and ice cream was melted as well which was unexpected. I was further dismayed to observe two staff members standing idle behind the bar while our table remained dirty after the first course. When our pastries finally arrived, a waiter commented that our table should have been cleaned in the meantime and offered to do so herself. This experience was truly disappointing, and I will not be returning to your restaurant in the future. Waiting over an hour for a sandwich and receiving incorrect orders is unacceptable. I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and take steps to improve...
