I travel all over Ireland for work, so therefore I eat out quite a bit and know a few things about good quality food and everything in between. I stopped in here last Friday before my spin back to cork and all I can say is "I am very impressed". I ordered the tandoori chicken. 4 chicken pieces come out on a hot sizzling plate, the sauce comes separately in a bowl and I ordered pilau rice which also comes separate. The chicken was just amazing and tender. The sauce was so so good and the rice was so fresh and flavoursome. You could smell the fresh ingredients mixed through it. Also the atmosphere is very calm and the staff are just so friendly and attentive. I can't recommend this place enough. I am very particular about all details when reviewing a restaurant and I have to say this one ticks all the boxes. Also the poppadoms and 4 sauces on arrival are just the icing on the cake at no extra cost. I will return again at...
Read moreHorrible service and worst food. We have had Indian food in various cities all across Ireland but this place thus far has proven to be the worst restaurant pretending to serve Indian food. We waited for an hour to be seated and then order. Then another 40 mins went by before we got our food. All this after we called before coming to the restaurant. Then the food arrives without any serving spoons, dips with platter which was just full of oil. Paratha was raw. Paneer had exactly 4 sugar cube sized pieces and just tasted of red chillies. No serving spoons were provided even after asking for them. We left almost all our food as it was just unbearable. When we complained at the time of paying our bill we were told that because they were so busy the cutlery was dirty and had no answer for the horrible food served other then not charging us for the paratha!! They should stop calling themselves a restaurant and that too an...
Read moreHad a fantastic buffet lunch at Eastenders Tandoori Restaurant for just €15 - a real gem along Merchant's Quay, right by the bus stop, so it’s super easy to find.
The place has a cozy vibe, and I went with four colleagues from Mexico 🇲🇽 - they especially loved the spicier options! The butter chicken, naan, and fried rice were absolutely delicious, and the "eat all you can" style meant everyone left happy and full. More at home with such food offerings given Kenya 🇰🇪 has such a huge Indian presence.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, checking in often and keeping things running smoothly. Great value for money considering the variety and quality of the food.
One suggestion: the toilet area could use more space and upkeep, especially when the restaurant gets busy.
Definitely worth a visit if you're craving tasty Indian food...
