If you're a whiskey lover, Tomas Maher’s is an absolute must in Waterford! I discovered a delicious local Irish whiskey here – sweet, smooth, and beautifully mixed in-house. I was actually coughing that day, and after a few sips... I felt so much better! 😂 It was that good. I ended up buying the bottle!
The atmosphere is warm, local, and full of character – a true Irish pub experience without the touristy feel. The staff know their stuff and are happy to recommend something special (like that amazing whiskey!).

Read moreThis is the quintessential man's pub. Well, it isn't just a man's pub. It's a woman's pub too. Great atmosphere here. Tight enough on space but don't let that bother you. You'll feel comfortable in the setting while you settle into a corner or small table dotted around the premises. Nice friendly staff. Good music session of a Friday night. I like visiting here as its one of the few pubs that has held onto its character and ambience. Little beer garden out the back if ya feel like a breather at any stage... lots of history associated...
