“OWNER IS ABUSIVE, WITH ANGER ISSUES, THREATENING AND 0 HOSPITALITY” Being an Indian this is highly behaviour is highly demeaning. The owner couldn't control her anger and started yelling at us for giving honest feedback. Her behavior was so outrageous that the staff had to intervene and try to calm her down. She was cursing and had no sense of hospitality or basic manners. When I asked her to lower her tone and calm down, she went ballistic, threw the menu on the floor, and called me a "crazy lady" while continuing her abusive rant.
Here is what happened, we visited Cafe GOA in Waterford with a group of 20 people, and everything went downhill from the start. We ordered starters of three different meats, but all tasted the same and the meat was stale. When we questioned the female staff member about this, she casually mentioned that they serve all starters with tamarind and sweet chili sauce. This was not stated on the menu!
After this appetizer fiasco, we decided not to continue our meal there but still agreed to pay for everything we had ordered, which included 12 main courses, 20-25 breads, and 4 portions of rice. When we went to pay, the real nightmare began which is mentioned above about the owner’s abusive behaviour.
The harassment we faced as adults was humiliating and uncalled for. I even have a video of her yelling at us, but unfortunately, Google Reviews doesn't allow video uploads. This restaurant is unsafe and utterly disrespectful to its customers. Avoid this place at all costs! I don’t even want to give 1 star to...

I recently visited Cafe Goa in Waterford and had an extremely disappointing experience. The food was not up to standard, lacking in both taste and quality. When we politely provided feedback, the staff responded rudely, telling us we didn't know what good food tastes like. To make matters worse, the owner began shouting at us, which was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. This is not how customers should be treated. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience.
One of the staff members(Owner), in particular, was exceptionally rude and even attempted to assault us. We felt threatened and deeply uncomfortable. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also dangerous. We are planning to file a formal complaint against this individual for her aggressive actions. 20...
Read moreOh, where to begin with this gem of a restaurant! The ambiance was nice, I’ll give them that, but it’s all downhill from there. Imagine being served a dessert disguised as a meal – that’s what you get here. Every tandoori dish and starter was drowned in tamarind sauce and sweet chili. Yes, you read that right, from tandoori chicken to seekh kebab, it was a sugar fest.
Any person who’s ever had real Indian food would laugh – or cry – at this mockery of authenticity. When I dared to mention this to the owner, their brilliant response was, “you don’t have the taste for Indian food.” Charming, isn’t it?
So, dear reader, take my advice and steer clear of this place unless you’re in the mood for some confusion on a plate. The only edible thing was the rice. On second thought, just avoid this place altogether and save your taste buds. Here’s hoping they close soon and spare...
