Caffe Tamati — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

The owner of this cafe made me cry. I am still shocked by the whole situation. I was in town visiting my sister who has been a frequent customer since COVID. I had my sister (who is fluent in Hebrew) order. The owner insisted on talking to my sister in English (even though she ordered in Hebrew) and literally mocked my order over and over again in a loud whiny baby voice. All the while, he was taking orders from people behind her- so that he could continue to make fun of me. It was his opinion that a latte means “milk” in Italian, so there is no such order- and insinuated that I am an idiot for ordering a “latte.” I have NEVER been so humiliated and badly treated in my life. I don't write many reviews, but I need to share that it's been one week since my visit to Tel Aviv and the one thing that I wake up still missing is caffe Tamati. I have never had such a wonderful coffee - very strong, but not bitter and extremely smooth. Not only will your experience include a perfect cup of coffee, but some of the nicest and sweetest company you could expect with the baristas. I occasionally get excited by a great cup of coffee, but i have never been blown away the way i was when i first visited Tamati. Stayed in Tel Aviv for a month and hands down starting my day at tamati was the best part. The coffee and cold brew are amazing, the vibes and music were both lively and peaceful creating a unique nook in an otherwise bustling city. A great place to stop for great smiles and a quick chat with the friendly and incredibly attentive staff (who remembered my order after one visit).
