TL;DR Good sushi, great atmosphere, no parking.
We came to Fu sushi on Thursday evening, the place was completely full as expected.
We got seated on the bar that was full but it wasn't too crowded. The place has a great atmosphere, nice music but not too loud so you can sit and enjoy the food and the company.
Service at the bar was very good, we got the menus and took the barman's recommendations and he nailed it.
We ordered: Cocktails:
Fuji Flower: sake nigori (“the perfect snow”), cava, aperol, watermelon, lime, scented like green tea. - it was very good delicate and sweet
Thai Martini: Gin, lemon juice, st germain liquor, sugar cane syrup, cucumber, basil. - it was good but less than the first one
Sushi:
Double Combo: (21 pcs) Fish and chips (4 pcs), Salmon and avocado inside out (4 pcs), Spicy Salmon Sandwich (4 pcs), Tuna and green onion maki (3 pcs), Salmon avocado maki (3 pcs), Salmon nigiri (1), Bass nigiri (2). Spicy Salmon Sandwich - It was ok, but nothing really exiting.
-Out of Control: Spicy tuna and tempura bits wrapped with tuna and avocado - excellent.
Purple Rain: Spicy YellowTail and avocado topped with crunchy beetroot chips. - not in the specials menu but really special.
For dessert we ordered brule balls: 4 frozen balls made from brule cream standing in raspberry cream - the combination of the sweet brule cream and the sour raspberry was amazing.
The sushi was really good as expected from a Ki-Su group restaurant.
Parking is not available anywhere, Dizengoff street on Tuesday night what can you expect... All the adjacent parking lots are full with cars waiting at the entrance for someone to come out. We ended up searching for parking at the far end of the TLV port until we found one - quite a walk from the restaurant. when we got back to the car there was no...
Read moreWe booked here following a recommendation from a very good friend.
So, on a warm summer’s evening we decided, rather last minute, to book a table for two.
It took the lady on the phone a little while to confirm that we could have a table 40 minutes later at 9pm.
We strolled down the main road to the restaurant and to be fair it was busy and definitely not fully booked.
The restaurant is trendy, is nicely decorated in an Asian style, there are indoor and outdoor tables and a very big bar that one can also sit at for meals and / or drinks.
We had a lovely table by the window indoors - preferable for us as we wanted the air conditioning.
We ordered a beer and a cocktail and the shame was that the beer arrived long before the cocktail and we would have liked to have had our drinks together.
The cocktail was super delicious!!! I would definitely have that again. It was the Bamboo Fu and was based on a pina colada.
There were quite a few items on the menu they no longer serve that sounded like they would have been worth tasting.
So, we ordered a mini green salad which was very tasty and chicken gyozas which were delicious and definitely larger and tastier than any we’ve ever had.
For our mains we had chicken Phad Thai and Beef Schezuan. Both were very tasty, full of lovely flavours, not too spicy and very more-ish!!!
Overall, we had a lovely evening, a great first experience of this restaurant and without a doubt we will be coming back again for more.
So, in the same vein that this restaurant was recommended to me, I definitely recommend...
Read moreInitially i was really excited to come because i had been there once before so i anticipated the same experience. There chicken ramen is good. The rudeness of this one manager with light brown hair was so rude and made me never wanted to come back. He kept standing over me while i was eating too. I had a reservation at 7pm but because of the war the gps didnt work. I initially got there 30 min late for that reason and im visiting from new york city. I reserved an outside table and the hostess lied and said you reserved the bar, which i would never do. The bar was empty so they wanted me to sit at the bar. There were plenty of seats outside and they refused to seat us outside. At that point my sugar dropped i waa shaking i almost had to go to the emergency room. There was another nice manager with black hair who gave me a soda to feel better and seated me outside finally where there were plenty of seats. I dont understand why it couldn't have been done sooner. While i waa eating the other manager was making me feel so uncomfortable while i waa sitting there so i left and even took my expensive sushi with me. Typically we tip 20% because of the am we american qay but this time i tipped 10% because i disnt even feel welcomed or comfortable to eat this there. I would definitely advise the owner of the restaurant to change that one manager and the nasty hostess. The waitresses are extremely kind. I would only suggest ramen and...
