First we had to wait over 30 minutes before a seat was provided. No complaints about that, it was announced in advance. However several people were skipping the line with permission of the personnel, quite annoying.
After that we ordered our drinks and food. Drinks were served immediately but it took over an hour for the food. With only three more tables around, a ridiculously long lead time. Again no complaints, we are on vacation and enjoyed our time together.
But only one, out of two, plates was served. After five minutes, when my wife almost finished here meal, we reminded the staff. They fully forgoty order and they responded in a very impolite way; it was our fault because we did not remember them earlier on. No excuse at all. After that we had a fierce discussion on the price, they tried to fully charge us. Not my way of operating but I almost walked away without paying at all.
Summary: not very special food, very impolite staff taking advantage of Saturday night crowds....

It's the perfect place if you want to have a slow and relaxing day not for a quick dinner with...

I came Saturday late at night and was only person for some time, so did not wait long for a food. Pasta with sea food was absolutely amazing - exactly what I was craving for coming to Sardinia. On plus for this place - no need for reservation, very friendly, family atmosphere, noone was treating me worse due to my lack of Italian (and happened to me in other restaurants in Alghero). Wine was cheap and tasty, dessert - creme Catalana - with thick, crispy sugar layer. And don't be mistaken by the name "Snack Bar" - its proper restaurant, with short but great menu....
