We stayed here for 3 nights in October. I wanted to love this place, as the owner is lovely and the location is amazing. But.||||Pluses:||- strong, free wifi||- free breakfast (but it's just yogurt cups, juice boxes, and packaged pastries)||- clean and secure||- the "free breakfast" is there 24x7, so you can have coffee and cake any time||- very thoughtful table of free items for travelers, like razors, toothpaste, etc. I do worry someone is going to steal everything, though, because people are awful :)||- wonderful, responsive owner (we emailed asking for more coffee, he was there in a few hours)||- AMAZING location in Old Town walkable to everything: the walls, the fortress, restaurants||- large, airy rooms||||Minuses:||- No A/C. It was mid-October, and VERY warm (25C/80F). We had to leave the windows open 24x7 (which is fine for security, all rooms are far off the ground floor). But that is where the problem was.||- It is so noisy Fri/Sat nights that you will not sleep. The windows face a bar that is filled with loud, laughing people until 2am, and it is right under the window. At 2am, the bar begins cleanup, and the smashing of glass goes on until 3am. You will not sleep.||- Foot traffic under the windows, with loud talking and music, goes on all night.||- We finally closed the window to get some sleep, but then it became too hot to sleep. ||||This place needs fans in the room, and to work with its neighbors for quiet hours. ||Again, I really wanted to love this place; but a guesthouse has just 2 jobs: provide an adequate place to sleep. This B&B...
Read moreLocation, location, location! This gem is in the heart of old town Alghero which is such a delightful city. Michele is such a kind host and he went so out of his way for us by even doing a load of laundry for us! There is no air conditioning- something to be mindful of in August in Sardegna but there was a plug-in fan and having the window open to sleep was fine. There are a few restaurants located below the building so there is some noise late into the night but Michele has ear plugs in the rooms if you're having an issue with that. The breakfast provided is some prepackaged traditional Italian breakfast items which we appreciated for an on-the-go breakfast. We loved our stay and will be back next time we...
Read moreWe could not have better stay at Michele’s place! The accomodation, the location, Michele’s hospitality were just g-r-e-a-t. We 100% recommend this place! Clean, well equipped, silent with host, that helps you with every question or request you have. Stayed there for 4 nights, it is located in a calm street, but everything is so near, right in the city centre, you just walk behind the corner and are in the middle of restaurants, shops, etc. Also close to the sea, bus station. Michele was also so nice to borrow us his bikes, thanks to which we could explore beautiful beaches and surroundings. Thank you and if we visit Alghero again we will definitely come back to...
