MuhBar - formaggi & vini artigianali — Restaurant in Altamura

If you're a cheese enthusiast and lover, passing through Altamura, consider visiting Muhbar, a cheese bar where tradition and new flavors are intertwined. The food proposal are both delicious and thoughtfully designed, providing a satisfying culinary experience. We recently enjoyed a delightful tasting featuring vegetables, mozzarella, ricotta, and stracciatella—all expertly prepared and perfectly balanced. Muhbar is the Futurist version of a traditional dairy. It also offers a selection of cheeses from Caseificio Stella di Cecca (the family business), including the award-winning Pallone di Gravina (I didn't tried it) When you book a table, you can either choose your cheese selection or collaborate with the knowledgeable Muhbar team, led by Angelantonio Tafuno. One standout dish was the "puntarelle salad" dressed with oil, salt, Taggiasca olives, and capers, accompanied by a generous serving of melt-in-your-mouth stracciatella.

I look forward to returning to sample the cheese fondue and the Mozzarella Mubao stuffed with prosciutto, which are highlights of the menu. Additionally, the wine list is exceptional, and the service provided by the courteous staff is impeccable. The venue itself is cozy and stylish, providing the perfect ambiance for an enjoyable dining experience.

Extremely nice place with very good food, wine choice of course excellent. I especially appreciated the focus they have on hyper local food. Given the area the price is definitely on the high point but if you don't mind spending 35 euros each you do really get excellent wine...

Per gli amanti del formaggio e dei prodotti caseari e non solo per loro! Oltre ad una selezionata varietà di formaggi locali e non, abbina perfettamente salumi scelti e vini che si sposano perfettamente in un connubio funzionante. Personale di sala molto preparato, ci ha illustrato e spiegato ogni singola portata e nei minimi dettagli la preparazione e composizione della pietanza, e aiutato nell'accostamento del vino. Locale sobrio, atmosfera accogliente...
