I dined here during my stay in Amalfi and I was disappointed to say the least. I ordered the lobster pasta and the pasta was undercooked but I looked passed that and continued to eat it. A few bites into my pasta I noticed a black piece of hair about medium length, I took it out and tried to continue eating passed my disgust. I didn’t even take another bite after when I noticed 2 more pieces of hair. I was beyond disgusted at this point and called the server and let him know there’s hair in my food and he tried to take the hair out and I waved at him that I can no longer eat it and just to take it away. He took the plate without saying anything and left. No apologies were given by anyone. He then came about maybe 10-15 minuets later with a new plate prepared i informed him that I lost my appetite and can no longer eat after seeing that, I could not trust the place at making my food. When the bill came I thought they would at least take off the cost of the pasta since I only have a few bites and of course because of the hair. The man at the cashier who took our order said he cut the price in half. I was shocked, I told him there was not 1 not 2 but 3 pieces of hair in my food and I should not pay for it. He said I ate some of the lobster and not much of the pasta. I told him I understand but it was there fault for having poor health guidelines that I got hair in my food. I don’t even want to imagine the cooking conditions in the kitchen. He said it was okay that there was hair and that they gave me a discount for it. Another man came over and they started to speak Italian and then the cashier so okay it’s fine I’ll take it off. No apologies were given at any point which if it was given I wouldn’t be so adamant of not paying for the dish. No customer service what so ever, you are nothing to them they just want your money. Would give this a...
Read moreYou would think that you are paying for quality food & service while dining here. When we were served our water and wine, a bag was thrown on our table. We opened it up and it was stale bread. We were waiting for oil and plates to dip in. I didn’t think we should be eating dry stale bread. The woman at the front said it was made fresh in the morning. Either way it was stale to us. Looks like the waiter was walking around, not knowing what to do. Luckily the sea bass was delicious & served with a small portion of unknown vegetables. My son had steak which was very good considering you don’t usually get tender beef in Europe. We ordered french fries and that was also very nice. We had to chase someone down for ketchup. Everything was à la cart. I had the local white wine and waiter poured a little to sample but it was never poured. It was just left there for me to pour myself. That’s OK but I would think for a restaurant like this at least once the waiter would fill your glass with wine. Not the type of service that I would expect. Food was pretty good but nothing...
Read moreI was looking for a nice restaurant to eat with some friends. I was told that this place was amazing by locals and we came to enjoy the gastronomy. Once we arrived we told the waiter that since we were 4 different families, we wanted to split the bill to avoid having issues with the account. The waiter was initially very impolite saying that in Italy no restaurant does so and since we were very hungry we took different tables to not have any problem with the personal. Once we did it, the same waiter came screaming saying that we weren’t allowed to take different tables. A friend, who’s local, talked to him in Italian to obtain an explanation of his decision, he suddenly started screaming at us saying that we had to leave the restaurant and blaming my friend and doubting about his real Italian identity. The food might be great and the spot incredible too but the service was terrible and I recommend you sincerely to avoid coming here. The guy was young and his managers didn’t do anything to stop this injustice.
I strongly discourage you to...
