Really expensive for what u get, the room itself is beautiful, with ocean view, clean and quite spacious. However, it ends there for the room- the bed needs replaced, it has sagged and indented, and on top of that the pillows were so bad, I woke up with a torn neck next day (I have travelled for 4 weeks and this is the first hotel ever I experienced this). My husband who never complained, also said the same about the mattress and pillows. My neck hurts so bad, the next day I couldn’t go out and ended up just resting in the room- which was not a pleasant one with the uncomfortable bed! While we were resting in the room, the receptionist called and questioned us in an unfriendly way, that if we needed our room cleaned, I said yes and in my head I’m thinking, normally other hotels, they will knock on your door to clean your room and I was waiting the same thing…I was waiting for them to knock and I’ll go out and wait while they clean, instead they made us felt bad…we walked out our room and waited at the bar feeling unwanted. Secondly the aircon doesn’t work…so there’s no air circulation in the room, so it’s stuffy and that woke me up a few times at night. Everyday I woke up with full face of oil, my hair all greasy. There’s no iron in the room, when we called and ask if we could get one, they said it’s in the laundry and you need to pay them to iron for you..(this is the first ever, I have stayed in many hotels for years, if there’s no iron in the room, they will bring one to your room if you ask).. After the above 2 incidents with the receptionist, I have given up asking about the condition of the bed and aircon, given the unfriendliness of some staff. The breakfast could be better, it’s buffet but it’s behind the counter. The staff serving at the breakfast were very nice, while on the topic, the lady who checked us in also very nice. We found that the young staff are all very nice, why is the only reason I’m giving 3 stars. If this is a 3 stars hotel, i May have been able to tolerate, but it’s a 4 stars and 350 euro a night for the room, my parents stayed in better room that’s 400 euro a night, their aircon did work but they said the spa buttons didn’t work. Location is best, next to ferry port and main bus station. This is the most expensive hotel for my whole Italy trip and the worst one, what a disappointment as Amalfi coast is my dream destination since forever. I am staying in my next hotel now in Rome, thank goodness for the comfortable bed and pillow and I’m finally able to get some good...
Read moreThe hotel is very nice and we stayed 5 nights in a Prestige Room (which can only be booked from the hotel's website) on the 3rd floor. Pros: Our room was sea front and the views were spectacular. We used to stay in balcony for at least half an hour everyday and enjoy the view of Amalfi. Rooms are clean and being refreshed everyday. We had bottles of water everyday. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They provided us all the necessary info to book tours, bus and ferries. Location is super convenient. It is only few minutes walk to Amalfi Ferry Port and main square. This will help to catch the ferries and busses conveniently. The hotel has onsite parking which is a big plus in this busy area. Finding parking is very difficult in the area. Breakfast is included. Although the variety of meals is limited, this is still a plus to have your breakfast early in the morning and head out. Staff in the breakfast area could be a bit nicer :). Cons: The biggest cons during our stay was noise from the bar on the 4th floor. This problem may only be limited for the 3rd floor rooms but the bar is located right above the 3rd floor rooms and they continuously (maybe every 5 minutes) move chairs and tables everynight till 11.30pm. It was very difficult for us to sleep until the bar closes. We even called front desk once but the staff were not able to help. Seems that the bar is being operated by a different party. If you are a light or early sleeper, 3rd floor rooms could be tricky. Generally we had a good time there and I would like to thank the hotel staff for all their attention during our stay. We enjoyed visiting...
Read moreFalse advertising, broken WiFi, and the rudest service I’ve ever experienced.
This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve ever had, especially for such an expensive trip during my honeymoon and birthday.
The room was falsely advertised. We booked and paid for a “superior sea view room,” but the view was almost entirely blocked by trees. When we politely asked if a higher floor was possible, the manager Luchana, insisted we already had one of the “best views” and even accused us of pretending there was an issue. That is not how you speak to paying guests who are simply asking for what was advertised.
The WiFi — a basic amenity — was practically unusable. It only worked in one corner of the room and disconnected constantly. Reliable WiFi is not optional, especially for international travelers. The excuse given was a “fiber issue,” yet the WiFi worked fine in the reception area, making the explanation dismissive.
Most unacceptable was the treatment we received. Instead of apologizing or offering any solutions, the manager came into our room, argued with us, raised her voice, and dismissed our concerns. Telling guests they are “pretending” is beyond unprofessional and deeply disrespectful. No customer should be treated this way.
While the hotel may claim to provide the room category we booked, the reality does not match what is advertised. Combined with the lack of functioning amenities and hostile service, I cannot recommend this property. Amalfi is stunning, but I strongly suggest staying elsewhere at a hotel that values its guests and delivers what...
