parking — Local services in Amalfi

This review is for the parking lot right by the ferry pier - in between the ticket booths of the ferry companies and where the SITA buses park. We were staying up the coast in Conca dei Marini and found it super easy to self-park here. We did get to Amalfi pretty early in the day and the lot does fill up by about 10 am. It cost 16 euros for about 3-4 hrs. Great location - 2 min from the Cathedral, 1 min from the free public beach. And you keep your key!! Something very rare on the Amalfi Coast. It did cost 5 euro per hour but with the ease of finding it, location, and keeping the key, it's still cheaper than other parking lots - a definite winner. The guard/security person helped me to get the ticket - you will need the plate number (my car key had it attached so that was easy - most likely if you're renting that will be the case for you, too). Was very lucky to get parking here as it is right by the beach and a 2 minute walk from the main square in Amalfi. There are limited spaces so would recommend getting here early. Prices depend on the day of the week and the month. You keep your keys and pay at a machine with either cash or card. Overall...
