If I could I would give zero stars. I called to order a table and was told when to come because apparently, they only had a table at a later time. No problem at first. When we arrived they gave our table to a different couple and told us to wait another 15 min. A bit annoying but okey, since I also work in hospitality I understood. When we finally got our table we had exactly two minutes time to look at the menu before the unfriendly waiter forced us to order because apparently the kitchen was closing, but other guests arrived way after us and it was no problem for them. Very unfriendly staff. Now the food. Very very bad experience. The wine tasted salty and like the cheapest option. I did not even have time to look at the wine cart and ordered a glass of white vine. They probably brought me cooking vine. First dish was fine, cheese and regional Salami, almost impossible to mess it up but a bit expensive for the small platter. Second dish - fish for me and lamb for my partner - absolutely horrible. The potatoes were old, you could clearly taste it, the lamb chops were not properly cooked and the fish had a weird taste. If you want to try the traditional stockfish than pick the menu for 36€ all included: pasta with stockfish, stockfish traditionally cooked with potatoes and afterwards apple sorbet with calvados and an espresso. You also get a glass of white wine and a big bottle of water for the price. An additional glass of wine costs 4€ 👍 The waitress was partly a bit strange and it wasn’t quite clear if she’s maybe new. They brought out my husband’s main course but nobody said a word about mine. After my husband finished, we asked for mine and the kitchen forgot about my main dish completely 🫣. Minutes later I got it. Well stockfish is a bit smelly and the main dish really heavy. Not bad. Not exceptional. Food was well made, flavorful and balanced. Not the freshest sea food but it’s august and the fishermen are not allowed to fish. So I excuse that. That does not mean, however, that the sea food was stale. It was definitely good quality, frozen within hours, fresh. And had no hint of being stale. We tried the stock fish and the mix fried sea food. Both were decently done. The attention paid to ‘female’ clients was noticeable (we are in Italy after all) and they would probably be very happy with it. Service was attentive but seemed rather curt due to that. Knocking off a star because the price and quality don’t match. Price is about 50% higher than what it should be.
