Rosa Cremeria Food — Restaurant in Ancona

We had to catch the ferry from the port, and therefore were in a bit of a hurry. We arrived at the restaurant, and was told the kitchen wasn’t open but that they served pizza. We decided to look for another place to eat but couldn’t really find any. We went back and spoke to another waiter who told us the kitchen would open in 20 minutes. We chose to sit down, and the first waiter came to take out orders and then told us that the kitchen would not open in another 45-50 minutes, which we did not have time to wait for. They were still able to serve pizza though. We told her that her colleague had just told us that the kitchen would open soon, and the waiter answered that that was not correct. We decided to order pizzas that we waited 45 minutes for, which meant that we had to have them as take away if we wanted to catch our ferry. The waiter apologised but it was just a confusing, not very pleasant experience. It would have been nice that the waiters had an agreement on what they tell...

I was charged 6 euros for a strawberry-banana smoothie that was just a glass of milk with ice: I saw the barman taking a big glass of milk and putting inside a small piece of banana and literally 5-10 grams of strawberry; the pieces were so small that when mixed, the milk was still almost totally white.

I then kindly asked to a waitress if she could clean our table (it was filthy and sticky). She lightly nodded without saying a word and because she seemed quite annoyed, I told her that I could use her towel and clean it myself quickly (I honestly didn't want to bother her). After hearing my polite offer, she looked at me with a smirky, disgusted face, and again without saying a word, she proceeded on cleaning our table and then left (yet avoiding to reply to my third, final THANK YOU).

The food was great really nice pizza and salad. The problem was we ordered from the special 14euro menu and we only wanted 2 of them and they waiter said with salad so we assumed that meant a little salad came with the meal! We were wrong and when we went to pay we were charged for 4 meals !! . I would not recommend this 14euro meal deal with coffee and ice cream included because you cannot take it at your table . You must pay and then stand at coffee counter in busy restaurant you are not allowed to sit down even when seats free ! Then you have to move to the other side of counter and get your ice creams which were the smallest tubs. So do not go for the 14euro deal not worth the hassle and the waiter did not explain it properly and we ended up with coffee and ice creams we really didn’t t want not forgetting the 2 huge salads we did not...
