I walked into the crowded shop and waited in line for my turn to buy some Barese focaccia. At one point, I noticed that on the stack of food‑grade paper sheets—where they place the focaccia to package it—they had set down a customer’s grocery bag. I absolutely love this gem of a place. This is not your typical place that caters to the tourist crowd .This is the place where the locals go,It's consistently good and makes authentic cuisine from Bari. Sure, it's busy, but the staff of five ladies and young men are always there providing great service while being respectful of their customers. Piacevole luogo in cui concedere soddisfazioni e piaceri alla propria pancia. È possibile gustare focacce, pizzette, panzerotti, rustici vari, ma anche primi e secondi. C'è persino un angolo dedicato ai dolci. Comoda saletta interna per mangiare tutto caldo appena riscaldato. Vendono anche semplicemente pane. Personale gentile e disponibile. Personalmente ho acquistato un piatto di riso con lenticchie e un euro di focaccia, per un totale di 5 euro. Non posso che essere soddisfatto. Non sarà in assoluto la miglior focaccia di Bari, ma si attesta su un ottimo livello. Unico vero difetto, avrei gradito una quantità maggiore del piatto di lenticchie, ma credo non si potesse fare altrimenti, perché nel pentolone era ormai quasi tutto esaurito, e anzi, colei che mi ha servito, ha dovuto "raschiare il fondo" più volte per raccogliere più riso possibile.
