Melo Coffee and Bakery — Restaurant in Bari

Was out for a morning stroll looking for some breakfast when I after one failed attempt, they only had sweets, found this little quaint café.

Was greeted by the friendly staff who showed me the great variety of bread, focaccia, and other delicious things they had on display.

I chose my bread, which they filled with ham and cheese, got my freshly squeezed orange juice, and a double espresso and sat down to fill my stomach with this delightful meal.

First bite, oh lord, what a taste. I can't find the words to describe what my mouth is experiencing. Just when I thought things couldn't get any better, I got to the juice. One sip, two sip jesus can't stop drinking it. Almost gulped down the whole glass at once, and I had to pace myself not to get a brain freeze.

To make this rambling of a madman come to an end, I can just say this. If you're in the mood for some delicious bread or sweets you have...

We ordered for 3 apperitivo costing €15 each, server and staff didn't speak any English and asked us if we would like veg/dairy/cold cuts etc in apperitivo. Using Google translator we informed 2 veg and 1 non veg. We were served 4 big plates of small bites - 2 veg and 2 beef/turnery, prosciutto etc. We couldn't finish it obviously but were surprised that We got so much in €15 each. Later, we received the bill €75 (€25 for gastronomy which was the cold cuts - as charged extra. We assumed that the server is only trying to understand what to serve in their apperitivo. Turns out, they pushed their sale because we didn't speak Italian and we had to pay for things we never wanted, didn't ask for, but we received and we ate because we thought it...

What a place! Most of the Caffè shops are small, in and out Italians go.

Here you got enough space inside to seat comfortably (we are family of 4 with 2 small children and I really do appreciate space inside and not seating by the road)

Products are great at reasonable price!

We had visited few small "shabby" caffes with hire prices for nothing!

They are making fresh sandwiches on the spot if ask to!

If you will go there once you should not go anywhere else.... simply it will be wast of...
