Interesting one this one! We hadn't even sat down and the waitress was desperate to know if we were eating steak or pizza, ok, let's get our coats off first! Ordered french fries, grilled veggies, salted steak slices with rosemary, mixed sausages and bomberos which were just rolled up bacon. French fries were hot, pretty salty and very mundane, nothing special just commercial fries 🍟 We couldn't get grilled vegetables and got a 'mixed green salad' instead which was just a plain bag salad with some arugula and tomato, again nothing special. The steak slices were actually pretty tasty a bit unevenly cooked and served with nothing. The sausages and bacon things were served with salad but the serving lady couldn't wait to remove those plates and it wasn't eaten! The cover charge was 3 euros each, I questioned it since service was scant and no bread and water was charged separately. I try to be fair when writing my reviews afterall this is someone's business. My overall impression for this meal was they couldn't wait to get us in and out, everything was bare minimum of standards and we were eating there doing them a favor. I don't recommend them, hard to imagine how they have such a high rating, maybe the pizzas are great. Good luck to them, don't recommend when there are so many other friendly and decent...

Food was minimally acceptable. Generic and generally of medium quality at best. Didn't have grilled vegetables. Didn't have mixed grill. Didn't offer bread for the table. We should have left at that point.

The French fries might easily have been frozen supermarket fries - and entirely too salty. The mixed salad was bagged iceberg lettuce. The spicy sausages were small and not so spicy. The bomberos were just rolled bacon and they served 4 servings instead of the requested 2 - which we didn't notice until we saw the bill.

Service was also completely un'Italian. She came back mid service and removed plates while we were still eating. I'd expect that in the US where they want to turn a table 3 or 4 times a night. Never in Europe, and certainly not in Italy.

Overall, worse than disappointing. Felt like we were robbed. 60 euros for a meal that would have been expensive at 40!

Avoid if you can. Bari has lots of great restaurants. And if you really want a great steak....

IF YOU WANT TO EAT MEAT, YOU ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE

Their pizzas were far better than their meat dishes. We paid 19 euros for a piece of meat, yet it was unevenly cooked and left a chewy, unpleasant feeling that never seemed to end. Honestly, it was one of the worst pieces of meat I have ever eaten. The menu has very few options, and if you don’t know how to cook meat, please don’t call yourself a “Steakhouse.”

The staff were quite impatient while we were deciding on our order. It felt like they just wanted us to eat quickly and leave. As soon as we finished, they immediately took our plates and asked, “Would you like the bill?”

On top of that, they added a 3-euro-per-person service charge that was not mentioned on the menu. They absolutely did not deserve this fee.

While in Bari, you can easily find places with much better food at much lower prices. Paying such a high price here only to get bad food and poor service was truly...
