La Biglietteria — Restaurant in Bari

Catalogue prices are only for locals, for the rest everything is overpriced. There was 2 euro charge saying something like 'servizio'? All the cocktails on the catalogue were from 6-10 euro. I ordered something simple like gin lime and sugar syrop and of course it was 10 euro...and my girlfriend a normal drink with squeezed lemon(10 euro also). The service in general was slow, only one girl(waitress) was kind and helpful. Overpriced-average bar.

I have to edit this because of your answer: The gin we ordered was Bombay,the waiter changed the price simply by charging: Stars of Bombay and on brackets he put regulare! Unfortunately I do not have the receipt in my hands any more... Unacceptable! Just to add also that we didn't have food... So 1 simple drink(Bombay)10 euro and lets say a ''cocktail'' 10 euro +2 euro ''servizio'' without FOOD.

Let me go into detail about the ''cocktail'' I had.. I asked for a ''gin sour'' trying to explain that I want gin(Bombay-simple), lime and sugar syrup! That's all! Instead I had a normal gin sour which means + egg white(foam) and I don't like the smell at all....

I have to admit that communicating in English is very difficult in Italy in general and not only...

The staff is really not professional. We arrived at 6:45 pm to eat. Which we said they gave us a table and the cocktail menus. I asked for the food one and got told that the kitchen only opens at 8 pm but if we orderd cocktails we would get some apetizers. All good we ordered drinks and the apetizers never came. When we asked for them, they were npt included. All good, we paid the olives also. At 7h50 we asked for the menus again. Got told that the kitchen only opens at 8 and therfore we would also get the menus only at 8. At 8:20 the other tables were already prepared, had the menu and we stood there like idiots still waiting. We asked for the bill, had to try 2 diffrent cards because their machine didn't work. As i pointed out that it was the machine's problem, they said we had to wait then a little longer. We left then finally at 8:30 because my husband entered to pay, with the guy telling us that the chef was late. The overal attitude by it was pretty arogant as well. He told us that he knew we were starving but we had to wait... well. Def not...

If, for some reason, a place in Bari shall get a Michelin star (I see no reason), it would definitely be La Biglietteria. Amazing ideas implemented the perfect way. Amazing quality and service, the matching cocktails make the picture round. If you happen to be in Bari and want to try traditional cuisine the new way, that's it. Enjoy, just as I did! 02.07.2022: have to update my review, as I have been to La Biglietteria again after almost one year. Unfortunately many things (if not everything) changed... The service was not really there. I mean, physically all the staff was available, but they didn't seem to care for the clients. Every single order, including the bill, had to be requested three to four times. The cocktails, which were so amazing last year, were almost with no alcohol. The food was nothing more than average, some of the dishes weren't even there. So sad and disappointing, I can not understand how it is possible to ruin the place in such...
