We went there once. We were denied to be seated, even though the place was mostly empty. We waited for a table to become free (in case all the others were reserved, which they were not btw) and we occupied the table.
The waitress that denied us service in the first place came to serve us now and didn't even greet us, instead she just threw a card with a QR code on the table and said in a rude manner that this is the menu.
We ordered some drinks and when she delivered she immediately required for us to pay on the spot. She had absolutely no manners, nor any serving skills, or communication skills for that matter.
We left quite disappointed, but decided to give it another chance the next day with the lunch menu. We ordered quite a few things, alongside drinks. Our bill rounded up to about 100 euros.
The entire service was, yet again, absolutely outrageous. They didn't have an English menu, so Google Translate came to our rescue.
They sat us at a very inconvenient place and when bringing the plates of food and drinks, the waitress was literally almost stacking them on top of one another. She almost spilled an espresso while "trying" to fit everything on our table.
I found a huge spider in my plate and immediately decided to tell them and ask for the supervisor. She came, tried to apologize kindly, and her apology consisted of a complementary 20ml espresso and removing that dish from our bill.
I haven't been so disappointed, dissatisfied and disgusted by a place in a very long time. I would absolutely NOT recommend it. There are plenty of other amazing choices in Bergamo, which will...
Read moreWe showed up at 11:00 for having a breakfast and a coffee. We were seated by one of the staff on the terrasse. We waited 15 min and then I went to get inside to get service. The cashier told me not to order to him and there will be service outside. We then waited another 10 min, then one of the waitress told us to change table, with only a non-friendly hand gesture. We finally received menus and when we could order, the waitress said that nothing on the menu could be ordered because it was 11:40 and the kitchen would open at 12:00. She said though that toasts were available. So we ordered 2 toasts menus, one "normal" and one vegetarian. The waitress confirmed by repeating our order, mentioning the "No meat". After another 10min we received our 2 drinks and only one grilled cheese with ham, and a side of chips. It was delivered by the "delightful" waitress who told us to move away, 30min prior. She asked to pay right away. I told her this wasn't what we asked for. It was 7.60 for the bill, we wanted to pay with a 20€ and she asked us 3 times if we had the 0.60€, each time getting angrier, until she left and brought us back the change. It's now 12 and this is probably the worst start someone could imagine for a...
Read moreWe were there for a very short time before going to the airport. But the waiters were not exactly friendly. First asked what we want to order when we sat down then we asked for the menu first and she just put 2 on the table and left without a word. When we asked another waiter to order 2 coffees con gelato in English, he confirmed the order and said something in Italian and went away. Shortly after the first waitress came back and I said we already ordered. 5 min later another waitress comes by and we said the same but asked if she can check it and she said it's not in the system yet so she placed the order. The waiters seemed bit bored in the corner...anyway after 5-10 min we saw a waiter scooping the ice cream and then finally got our coffee with ice creams and we paid right away and left.
It's a touristic spot where you got a lot of waiters but the kind of those that look bored or annoyed. Menu contained fairly normal variety of drinks and prices were okayish but not a Café we would come back to again. If you got time I'd suggest to check out other Cafés in the side streets with much better service and...
