BEST CAFÈ IN BOLOGNA: CAFFÈ TERZI Where to go for the best Italian espresso in Bologna? No doubt, my favourite is caffè Terzi! It’s a tiny coffee shop in the city centre of Bologna where many usual local customers crowd the bar every day to enjoy their cup of coffee. At caffè Terzi you can find different coffee blend they roast and monorigin from different countries carefully selected by Manuel Terzi, owner and founder of the most iconic cafè of Bologna. The service is very accurate, Terzi’s sons and other professional baristas welcome thousands of locals and tourists every day recommending what’s the best coffee based on your preference and flavours. Espresso and cappuccino are the most demanded but if you want something more innovative and sophisticated the menu offer a huge range of coffee that also vary in hot and cold season. Not only coffee, they obviously offer fresh pastries for a classic Italian breakfast, biscuits, pies, many types of tea and a delicious hot chocolate in winter. If you love their coffee they also sell it: you can buy Terzi’s ground coffee, beans or capsule for nespresso machine to enjoy at home. Since 2001, café Terzi is in Via Oberdan, 2 minutes from the Two Towers but they just opened last summer another spot named “Terzi to Go”, a little kiosk with no seats where you can find exactly the same products, the same love and passion for coffee. We, at Delicious Bologna, love caffè Terzi and we start our Daylight food tour there, don’t miss the chance to visit this tiny cafè with our food experience.

I was of course looking forward to try this place, because it was so hyped on YouTube. My first visit started with a very overwhelmed waitress girl, who did not speak English and did not now what "coffee beans" are. Lucky main Barista took over and got me my order. First time we were sitting inside and we got lucky and could sit for 10 minutes at the table. Afterwards there was a reservation so we did not stay that long. Next time we came very late,so finally there was plenty of space. Like around 11.30, this time I could sit outside, slowly enjoy my cappuccino and order many local coffee types that I tried first time in my life. It definitely was an experience. Unfortunately some other customers(English speaking) were not always getting polite service. If they mispronounced the coffee names they got a impolite comment, that this coffee does not exist and they were immediately corrected. So all in all, I would still suggest you to try their coffee. Just remember: maybe you will not manage to get a place to sit! Buy coffee beans! Try different coffee. After the second time you will tough up and get what you want: space to sit down and tons of coffee! But if you want to get some Croissant, then definitely come early. Everything is sold out pretty quick. I hope you enjoyed my review!

This place is not like the average cafe we all know. It is more for coffee enthusiasts or people who want to enjoy some quiet time. The coffee I ordered: -Cremino -Espresso on the rocks Yes! Finally found a place that sells cold coffee! Espresso on the rocks was heavenly! Chilled and bold notes from the beans. Cremino was unique, where it has 3 layers and once you mix them; you get a creamy delight! The Barista here are quite professional, but don't expect a friendly attitude you would expect from starbucks or other cafés. I understand that they are busy and are being professional, so I could see why people might misunderstand that their attitude is negative. This establishment does not do table service, instead you order your coffee, then once served, take your coffee and have a seat inside the end room. Overall I recommend this place for their coffee and yes they have espresso on ice! Yes....I was so happy to find ice coffee lol !

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Caffè Terzi in Bologna, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! This charming little café exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The highlight of my visit was, without a doubt, the espresso cafe. As a coffee lover, I can confidently say that Caffè Terzi serves some of the best espresso in town. The aroma alone was enough to captivate my senses, and the taste was simply exquisite. Each sip was a burst of rich, full-bodied flavor that left me craving for more.

The staff at Caffè Terzi were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the various coffee options available and helped me choose the perfect blend to suit my taste. Their expertise and passion for coffee were evident in the way they carefully prepared each cup with precision and care. I truly appreciated their attention to detail.

What impressed me the most was the staff's willingness to go the extra mile. They gladly accommodated my specific requests and even offered suggestions to enhance my coffee experience. Their genuine enthusiasm for their craft made the entire visit even more memorable.

The café itself is cozy and inviting, with a charming interior that exudes a classic Italian ambiance. Whether you choose to sit indoors or enjoy your coffee at one of the outdoor tables, you'll find yourself surrounded by a pleasant and relaxing environment.

In addition to their exceptional coffee, Caffè Terzi also offers a delightful selection of pastries and snacks. I couldn't resist trying some of their freshly baked treats, and they did not disappoint. The pastries were delectable and paired perfectly with my espresso.

Overall, I highly recommend Caffè Terzi in Bologna to anyone seeking an exceptional coffee experience. From their outstanding espresso to their friendly and helpful staff, this café truly knows how to deliver a memorable visit. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or simply looking for a cozy spot to unwind, Caffè Terzi is the place to be. I can't wait to visit again!

I lived in Rome, Firence, Venice and Bolongna for more that a month, and this has been the best coffe by far. For starting, that first photo in the profile in metallic structure with uggly plates, it isn't from here. Both of the two people have tittles of their studies of being specialized in making coffee. I saw six different grains, being a good experience for tasting exotic coffees. My cappuccino being in a high table was 1.50 euros, supossing that being served in table would be higher, like always in Italy. You have the expresso from 1.10 to 3.00 euros depending the grain. When the cappuccino is well made, without using the spoon, you have to finish the coffe with only milk foam, you don't see the coffe, and here it was like this. They clean with hot water before using the machine. The colour of the coffe foam is clear brown (being dark is sign of being burnt, taking apart the grain really toasted that has this color). They are polite and gentle, and being a tourist is not really easy find this, even talking his language. They serve you a glass of water (tradition being forgotten) and they ask you about the cacao (other thing being forgotten and even unconfortable to ask when the forget about it in most of the places). This cacao is cutted in that moment from an entire bar. All of this is under partial subjective analisis, but after hundreds of coffees in Europe this is my most honest opinion...
