Excellent meal. We ordered mostly off the "Quello che piace a noi" menu, which seems to be loosely translated as what they love. We started with the little burger-shaped appetizer was delicious! I talked to the owner about the little "burger" and his description was that is contained Green sauce (?? not sure what that is) Tomato and onion jam The stuffing that goes inside tortellini Parmesan But whatever it was, it was fantastic! I could eat 4 of those and call it dinner. I ate the burger too fast to take a picture, it was that good, but you can easily see it on the web site. I also endorse the pulled pork appetizer, which was likewise delicious. I also enjoyed the ruote alla vodka, which to an American would be wagon wheel shaped pasta, like my mother used to make when I was a child. The sauce was delicious and the use of wagon wheel pasta was cute, fun and held the sauce well. As we moved to mains, things were a little less successful, with a cutlet that was overdone and sat too long. Nevertheless, the dinner was overall delicious and I would return for the little burgers...
Read moreI’ve just had a fantastic experience at this lovely trattoria. I’ve decided to go with a set tasting menu to ensure I try as many dishes as possible The great concept is to allow the customer to choose 2 antipasti (I chose potato and mortadella flan; beef and chicken with a Russian salad and broth on a side), 1 primi (tortelini in broth), 1 secondi (braised cheek with mashed potatoes) and 1 dolce (zuppa inglese). ALL dishes were absolutely scrumptious, absolutely nothing to fault! Compliments to the chef! I also thought it was quite reasonably priced for the amount and the quality of food, at just 45 Eur. The atmosphere is relaxed and service is wonderful. I was helped by two stuff who were friendly, always around when something is needed, but not overbearing. And the host of the house (I think his name is Marco) is a delightful chap. I’d highly recommend this trattoria without any hesitation. PS. I wish...
Read moreWe are foreigners from America so this was our experience: we went in and the host (or fellow operating the cash register) was very friendly. BIG fellow. He was very happy to help and spoke English. He got us to our table promptly and our server was a different guy. This gentlemen speaker just enough English to help us. He was friendly and had great recommendations for food. The food was surprisingly quick. The atmosphere was great and seemed authentic as well. It was far enough off the beaten path (which we like) that it wasn’t crazy busy at 9/10pm (which is “normal” time for supper , around here, you’ll find.) We would recommend this place to anybody. My wife was pleased and even like the white wine (she hates every wine in America lol.) I told the server it was “dealers choice” for what to serve me. The (homemade) ice cream dessert...
