I think I got kinda scammed? It says 12 and 14 on the menu but i paid 13 and 15 (says on receipt). Is this some italian culture thing where you charge more than the menu states, idk bro. I don’t tend to go to restaurants, this one i booked through the fork, the discount worked but extra charges together with the service fee (wut theres service fees in this world?) added up to 8€. So out of my total of 40€ with a 20% discount in a way i ended up saving... 0€? It was already ok cheap dont get me wrong but I want to pay the price thats written on the menu otherwise i feel kinda scammed. The 2€ extra on food made me sadder than the 6€ service fee.
Anyway lasagna was great i would eat again 4/5 the tortellini i could make better myself, edges tasted a bit off 2.5/5. The tiramisu my sister makes better so it gets 2.5/5, this tiramisu rank like 3rd out of the 4 total tiramisus ive had in italy, wouldnt come back for it.
There were few customers when we were so i was contemplating giving more stars out of pity but nah. Oh and few customers made it a bit awkward to eat there but thats a very hard thing to fix i getchu bro 3). (If i come back to...
Read moreThis place is located in Piazza Malpighi cozy halfway below ground across from the Basilica of Saint Francis. We walked by it without really noticing it because of its location. Place is really quaint. Very laid-back. The weight staff is friendly. I had a delicious lasagna Bolognese. One of my friends had a carbonara. We always share our food so we all get to taste what everyone else is eating. I highly recommend that except if you’re Joey from friends and then Joey doesn’t share his food. I like sharing because it gives me an opportunity to taste other flavors. This is a nice local unpretentious spot when you’re in the mood for a really good meal at a very affordable price. I can honestly say that since I’ve been hanging out in Bologna, I have had the most amazing food. my reviews are going to sound boring because I keep telling you how great the food is and it’s true. The best part is that whenever I used to go out to dinner in the states I would always leave feeling bloated and uncomfortable. I used to think I had gluten sensitivities. I have never felt bloated or uncomfortable after having a meal anywhere in Italy not even when I bought some thing at the...
Read moreWow, shocked at our experience tonight. For context: we attempted to make reservations with several restaurants listed online as “top in Bologna”. We were too late - all were full. Fortunately, this place had a spot for two.
The atmosphere was wonderful - rustic and dignified. For antipasto we had local cheese with fig spread and salumi. All was incredible, particularly the fig spread. We then ordered tagliatelle and gramigna which were both immaculate! We could not decide which was better. We paired our meal with a glass of San Giovese red wine which was full in flavor with no after bitterness. Absolutely wonderful. We ended with tiramisu made with their mascarpone and two Amari. 5/5 for sure.
Compliments go to Giacomo and his staff, particular the Sardo student waiter. Professional...
