Cluricaune Irish Pub — Restaurant in Bologna

The first night we went to this pub was absolutely fine, met a lot of irish people and got strong drinks at a cheap enough price. However the second night my friend was denied entry for NO reason whatsoever, his explanation was that there’s only allowed 4 people at table and there was only three of us. We were talking to the table next to us but we told him that they were not a part of our group. But apart from there there were PLENTY as in multiple tables right in his line of vision that had well over 7 or 8 people at their table. So he was being mean for absolutely no reason at all and refused to speak english but even when we had other out alina students translate for us he didn’t care. Our friend had literally just went to the toilet and had her drink and all her belongings at her table and he knew that but still didn’t let her in but yet let all these other people come in. What’s more is that HE PUT HIS HANDS ON my other friend who was trying to explain the situation to him and tried to DRAG her away like she was a ragdoll. She was not rowdy in any way and we were not drunk and yet he had the audacity to put his hands on her and try drag her away. Just writing this heats my blood. A few friends of mine and I went for a weekend to Bologna. Our first night we went here for drinks and it was a pleasant over all experience. However, we returned the second night and it was very much different. In a room in the bar there is an extremely rude ‘security man’ (?) I left to go to the bathroom and had left my belongings and drinks with my friends at my table (like you would anywhere) but after my return from the bathroom to our table, he denied me entry. I got my friends’ attention and they came over to tell him I was with them (so that they would let us in). However, he refused to let me, a girl alone, join my friends after returning from the bathroom. We got some Italian people to translate and tell him our situation, yet he refused. When one of my girlfriends went to explain to him, he got extremely aggressive with her in a disgusting way. We had not had anything to drink and weren’t being rowdy, so this behaviour from staff towards us was awful. As an IRISH person, AVOID THIS IRISH PUB. Don’t spend any time or money here, the staff are aggressive and rude. Il posto sembrava carino e ne sono stato attirato. Entrato trovo posto al piano inferiore e dopo essermi accomodato mi dirigo verso il bancone dove ordino un classico, gin tonic... Prima vedo tirar fuori un bicchiere da longdrink al che vedendo le classiche coppe robuste, solitamente utilizzate per il gin tonic, posizionate sullo scaffale dietro al bancone chiedo subito se fosse possibile averlo in calice, poi chiedo se fosse possibile averlo senza ghiaccio in quanto lo avrei bevuto in poco tempo e considerando le temperature, quella della tonica mi sarebbe bastata... La barista sempre con il suo comportamento presuntuoso assunto già subito dopo averla salutata esclama che nessuno gli aveva mai chiesto un gin tonic in calice senza ghiaccio, fatto sta che dopo aver sopportato il mezzo lime che ci mise e la manciata di ¿¿¿bacche di ginepro??? mi finisco di versare la tonica lasciandone ancora poco meno di metà nella bottiglietta, assaggio e nonostate la quantità di bacche di ginepro e un terzo di 25cl di tonica che ancora avevo lasciato nella bottiglietta il sapore del gin era a dir poco impercettibile al che chiedo una piccola correzione, specificando che intanto non avevo aggiunto neanche tutta la tonica e che considerando la manciata di bacche, era un po' impossibile che il retrogusto di ginepro fosse appena percepibile, questo per giustificare la mia richiesta e far subito capire che la mia intenzione non era quella di ritrovarmi con un gin tonic doppio, ma semplicemente un gin tonic che si potesse chiamare come tale... La risposta sempre con arie moolto presuntuose è stata che usa il "misurino" (chiamato da lei cosí) e che quindi se volevo una dose in più avrei dovuto pagarla... Il mio errore dopo quello di essere entrato in questo posto è stato quello di pagargli il suo presunto gin tonic in quanto più di una cosa non ho trovato normale... 1 la scelta del bicchiere dato che rispetto alla sua postazione sarebbe risultata più comoda la presa di un calice. 2 il fatto che trovasse strano che le chiedessi quale gin avesse a disposizione. 3 li presuntuoso stupore dopo averle chiesto l'assenza di ghiaccio. 4 il fatto che mise una bella fetta di lime in mezzo al gin. 5 il fatto che mise una manciata di bacche di ginepro in mezzo al gin...(io credevo si mettessero UN PAIO di bacche di pepe in alcune VARIANTI) 6 il fatto che mi abbia versato nel calice un goccio di tonica...(solitamente nei posti più curati mi era sempre capitato che me la servissero a parte oppure in altri posti la versano lasciandone proprio un goccino nel fondo della bottiglietta). Invece in questo posto non ti lasciano il gin puro, versano un goccino di tonica ma non la quantità sufficiente.. Giusto quel goccino da togliere la purezza al gin in sintesi... Ne sono rimasto molto deluso dato che quella sera da tempo avevo programmato di bere solo un gin tonic il quale non si è rivelato soddisfacente...

SCONSIGLIO VIVAMENTE QUESTO LOCALE. È STATO L'UNICO POSTO IN CUI SONO STATO DA CLIENTE NEL QUALE NON HANNO ESAUDITO LE MIE RICHIESTE NONOSTANTE PAGASSI IL...
