Caffè Zamboni — Restaurant in Bologna

If you don't want to read the full review: AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!

We arrived and waited for around five minutes to be seated even though it wasn't particularly busy. They had all their waiters focussing on laying out a buffet (this isn't a buffet only restaurant) but apparently no one serving new or existing customers. The young waiter who seated us couldn't be bothered to hand us the menus and instead chose to just drop them on the table like a spoilt teenager. After watching the waiters talk amongst themselves for 15 minutes (with our waiter playing on his phone the entire time) we simply got up and left. They didn't acknowledge us getting up to leave and probably didn't even notice we we're there in the first place. How does this place even stay open when there are numerous alternatives? We didn't even manage to get served drinks, never mind food. Despite this it still managed to leave a bad taste in my mouth. As I said AVOID...

Would give it a zero if I could and would not recommend. Saw some cute tables on a side street near the piazza with what looked like a great deal on a buffet style lunch. Sat outside originally but ventured inside to see the buffet. Under cooked, over sat luke warm food made us want to order from the menu. (We didn't leave initially due to the kids being tired and not wanting to find somewhere else.) We attempted to order about 3 times with a disinterested waiter too busy playing on his phone or flirting with the waitress, and we had asked for garlic bread, apparently they didn't have garlic in the kitchen, even though the pasta dishes that we ordered have garlic in? The eventual outcome was that the kids pizza arrived but our pasta didn't. We questioned its whereabouts an hour after ordering to be told flippantly that we didn't order it? Personally I wouldn't eat there, drink...

Sono stato in questo locale varie volte, una sola volta (ieri sera, di domenica) per fare l'apericena e varie volte solo per bere un drink, voglio quindi dividere la recensione in due parti.

Parte uno, cocktail bar: Per quanto riguarda l'andare in questo posto solo per bere un cocktail darei tranquillamente 3 stelle se non 4. I cocktail in se non sono un gran che, ma sono sicuramente più che bevibili, sopratutto se sai cosa prendere e costano poco, ovvero 7 euro prima delle 23 e solo 5 euro dopo le 23 (non tutti i cocktail hanno questo prezzo, però ci sono le pagine dedicate nel menù). In più ti vengono portate delle patatine e puoi stare seduto dentro quanto vuoi potendo andare al bagno che ho trovato sempre decentemente pulito.

Parte due, apericena: Venendo all'apericena ho trovato il cibo (quasi) tutto di scarsa qualità e sopratutto palesemente molti erano avanzi del giorno prima. I pomodori, per esempio, (sia nei crostini, sia proposti come insalata con della mozzarella) erano completamente insapori e senza sale, mentre le crocchette di patate erano secchissime. Ora, per 10 euro cocktail più buffet non mi aspettavo chissà cosa, oltretutto alcune cose si salvavano come gli gnocchi che erano quantomeno saporiti e la pizza surgelata che era buona, la cosa che mi ha fatto dare una recensione così bassa è stata la cameriera che serviva il buffet, veramente maleducatissima. Io sono vegetariano e quando le chiedevo se i vari cibi fossero vegetariani o no puntualmente sbuffava e poi lanciava il cibo nel piatto scocciatissima. Oltre a questo, la seconda volta che sono andato a prendere il cibo, mentre guardavo cosa c'era da mangiare mi ha detto "dai su, sbrigati!" (preciso che in fila in quel momento non c'era nessuno e che comunque il mio guardare il buffet è durato pochi secondi) e questo comportamento, oltre che rendere meno piacevole la serata, è proprio da maleducati e mi ha fatto passare la voglia di alzarmi per andare ad assaggiare altro. Se non tornerò più a fare apericena in questo posto è anche in gran parte colpa di questa ragazza (se non ricordo male) bionda. Preciso anche che sono andato a fare l'apericena alle 8/8:15, in questo locale viene servita fino alle 23, mi immagino il comportamento di questa ragazza a...
