La Rustica Pizzeria Osteria — Restaurant in Bologna

Spent way too much on a small and average meal. Vegan tortellini were ok, but so small they were basically just all pasta. (I had amazing ones at another restaurant close by the next day!!) The house red was good but probably the worst I had in the city. And the prices were simply a terrible value. I also was discriminated for some reason as all the tables before me got a free glass of limoncello at the end of their meals but I didn't. I ordered the same amount of food, but I guess maybe it's a drink to share so being by myself was what was different. Either way, felt shitty to be treated differently.

I wouldn't go back. There are tons of much better restaurants, as evidenced by very few patrons. This is not where the Italians go to eat, just...

Non conosco questo luogo, ma conosco la maleducazione e la loro scortesia, un signore dell'età sui 50 anni circa, mi ha aggredito verbalmente, urlandomi in faccia con toni molto alti, tutto questo perché pioveva a dirotto, e mi ero appoggiato velocemente il mio zaino solo per qualche istante, e lì questo suddetto signore iniziò ad aggredirmi verbalmente, io ovviamente con educazione mi sono difeso contro i suoi urli, e li ho pure chiamati per dirgli che io sono una persona pulita, il mio zaino è pulito e non si permetta mai più di giudicarmi o trattarmi così male non conoscendomi, io tratto come vengo trattato, ovvero se uno mi tratta bene faccio lo stesso, viceversa se una persona mi tratta male, io la tratto allo stesso modo, peccato perché il locale è carino e avrei pure pensato di andarci, ma affinché tratteranno male le persone per futili motivi com'è successo con me non ci metterò mai piede e sconsiglierò questo posto a tutte le persone che conosco, se un giorno riceverò delle scuse per essere stato trattato male per futili motivi e sentendomi pure dare del maleducato e per sottointendendo dicendo che il mio zaino è sporco perché sta per terra che io sono una persona poco pulita e che ha poca cura di se stesso (cosa non vera assolutamente) forse, ripeto se riceverò delle scuse per questo malo trattamento, o inizieranno a trattare meglio le persone e non offendendo il prossimo e dando del maleducato senza motivo, forse, prima o poi ci andrò, tra l'altro mi ero pure sbrigato, e tolto da lì velocemente visto che ho visto che il locale stava chiudendo per essere gentile, dal momento che non mi sono fermato lì mezz'ora ma si e no mezzo secondo. Visto come sono maleducato, caro signore, che ho fatto pure in fretta di togliermi da lì perché stavate chiudendo e doveva sistemare? Non si preoccupi non mi vedrà mai più in vita sua. Bel modo di trattare la gente e potenziali clienti, vergogna. Aggiorno: c'era una persona testimone con me ovvero mio fratello che ha visto che codesto signore mi stava urlando in faccia, se era tanto fastidio bastava darmi uno spray e un panno umido o qualcosa per pulire e lo avrei fatto senza problemi, ma ripeto, visto codesto trattamento, non mi vedrete più nemmeno...

Absolutely sensational! Was in Bologna for a few days and a few restaurants tried missed the mark by far. Went to La Rustica on the last night for takeaway and wow! Service and the Pizza was sensational. Some of the best ever had. Sad I didn't discover this place sooner! Hopefully this post will prevent this for others. Was even served a taste of wine while I waited- where else but Italy! My minimal Italian was even accepted =) Thank you for the authentic Italian experience! Made the stay...
