Mood24 — Restaurant in Bologna

The most disappointing breakfast experience in Bologna.

I honestly cannot understand how this place has such a high rating. Everyone around us seemed just as frustrated and annoyed as we were.

When we arrived, we were told to sit upstairs since the ground floor was full. The second floor was dark, unwelcoming, and completely unattended — no one came to us for 15 minutes, so we had to go downstairs ourselves just to get menus. Even then, no one came to take our order, so again we had to go down to place it directly.

After moving back to a table on the ground floor (hoping service would improve), things only got worse. We waited over an hour, despite repeatedly being told that “the cook is already making it.” When food finally started arriving, only two of the four dishes we ordered were brought. We had to ask again for the others, and still the last dish came much later.

As for the food itself — completely disappointing. I ordered toast with mortadella: it looked nice, but had absolutely no flavor. I had to ask for salt and pepper, and what they brought me was clearly straight from the kitchen, in a package not meant for customers.

After all this — more than an hour of waiting, missing dishes, tasteless food, and overall terrible service — there was no discount, not even a small gesture to make up for...

Stayed in Bologna for a month and this place was basically my second home. Absolutely loved it. They are so friendly and lovely, the food is incredible, the coffee is delicious. If you're looking for a coffee/food, this is the place to go!! I'm vegan and had the avocado toast (comes with olives, sundried tomatoes and hummus) and is SO tasty! I visited in the morning around 10:30 am, and here are my observations: the food and coffee were good, but the real issue was the significant delay in service. We waited for more than 20 minutes to receive our food, however the coffee arrived first while the food took a bit longer, as only one waiter was serving a group of over 16 people (the number of clients was increasing) ..

While the atmosphere and the owner of this place are so friendly and hard working. I was totally disappointed with the level/slowness...
