A culinary highlight in a legendary food destination - simply one of the best meals I've had in Europe! Of course there were many wines to choose from with plenty of options by the glass - I loved the Barbera de Piemonte red. I finished the night off with a fantastic gin and tonic with Sicilian gin.
With all the charcuterie boards to choose from, we went big with the "Along the Via Emilia" board. A perfect sampling of Emilian classics like Parma ham and coppa salami, 24-month aged Parmesan cheese, and of course mortadella. Bread was great but we got a few tigelle - toasted flatbread like an English muffin and served with cheese, butter, and lard. Totally just a perfect dining experience. We followed with some delicious, artistic bresaola roses with goat cheese and rocket with a little Modena balsamic vinegar.
Service was also fantastic - explanations of the diverse charcuterie board and the origins of every ingredient. Our server graciously cancelled our order for crostone after we realized what we ordered was too much for 2 people. When ordering my gin and tonic, I was shown the bottle of the gin used which I greatly appreciated.
Nothing but great things to say about this restaurant, which welcomed us at 7:30pm and became quietly lively by 9pm on a warm Friday. I wish I had more of an appetite so I could try some of the crostone or desserts.
Unforgettable! A must-try for foodies looking for an authentic...

Side note - they were very accommodating to service in English, with my limited Italian vocabulary. The rum flight to cap is the evening was tremendous. Very knowledgeable about...
Dinner with friends Not only wine but also beer and RUM many RUMs. We ate three very good Piemontese cow tartars. we enjoy also a very tasty Pasta. When you have too much choice it becomes difficult to choose the right wine, luckily the manager has been able to advise us with patience. The dishes are well-finished and well described in the menu, I also really appreciated the pragmatic service without many frills. On our request, the manager did not skimp on explanations on the origins and characteristics of the proposed Rums. I finally understood what he means "DRINK CONSCIOUSLY" !! or was it "RESPONSIBLY" ?? ANY WAY WE ENJOY A LOT THE DINNER. Thanks to all the staff for...
