Via Con Me — Restaurant in Bologna

Worst experience in a week in Italy. This restaurant was recommended to me. It was a Friday night and I only managed to get a table for 10.30pm. I made the effort to wait because I was told it was worth it. Arrived to the restaurant at 10.20pm and saw a number of empty tables. I told the lady at the counter I had a booking for 10.30pm, reaction? A funny face and immediately was told the kitchen was closing at 11pm (in 40 min) so I could only order a single course. Not nice to hear when there were open bookings for that time. Of course I expected to have the same treatment as others given the restaurant accepted the booking. After that I tried to order more than one course by saying that I didn’t mind if all came at once (funny face again). After getting a starter, a first course and a second course in one round, I noticed past 11pm a basket of bread was being taken to a newly arrived table. Never mind. The cherry on top of the cake was not even being asked if I wanted dessert. Truly the worst service in Italy. The food was ok, not great. Would not...

Sono stata a cena con un'amica in questo ristorante. Il posto è davvero carino (motivo del perché metto due stelle e non una) ma la cucina non ci ha convinto per niente. Quello che ha rovinato la cena è stato però il servizio: per tutta la serata ci siamo sentite invisibili e non considerate. Finito il pane, ci hanno promesso un refill che non è mai arrivato, e il calice vuoto della mia amica è rimasto tale perché nessuno le ha chiesto se gradisse altro vino. Sia l'antipasto che il primo sono arrivati con tempi biblici. Al tavolo a fianco c'era un ragazzo che cenava da solo, non oso immaginare quanto si deve essere annoiato a stare al tavolo senza nulla da mangiare e nessuno con cui parlare per tutto quel tempo. Nel mio primo, fregola vongole e bottarga, mancava persino la bottarga oltre ad essere molto salato come anche i passatelli coi funghi della mia amica. Fatto presente che mancava la bottarga, segnalata nella descrizione del piatto, ci è stato risposto "grazie per il consiglio". Tutta l'attenzione del locale era evidentemente concentrata su un altro tavolo, verosimilmente di amici dei gestori. Conto salato (56 euro) per un solo antipasto, due primi eseguiti male, due calici e acqua. Forse è stata una serata sfortunata e mi spiace usare parole così taglienti, ma farci attendere persino alla cassa perché dovevano sbaciucchiare per bene i loro clienti-amici è stata una ulteriore mancanza di rispetto verso il nostro tempo (cena durata tre ore per loro negligenza nel servirci i piatti). Se avessimo avuto altri impegni per la serata? O se semplicemente avessimo voluto trattenerci "giusto il tempo di una cena", trattandosi di un giorno...

If you had it with the tagliatelle with ragu, this is the place to be. The menu is completely different to the others you get in downtown Bologna (no tortellini seen) and it is kind of slow food / gourmet with a very good chef.
