When we arrived I saw a beautiful piece of strawberry roll in the window. I asked for a piece to go. The woman owner curtly said NO we only serve in the cafe. We went back 2 days later and asked for a table inside. We saw a woman walk in and ask for a piece to go and it was given to her immediately. I think that all customers should be treated equally. The cake wasn't that good afterall. The owners had a scowl on their face the entire time. The woman touched money and then the cake while cutting it for another customer. Passeggiando nei pressi del Duomo di San Nicolò siamo stati attirati dalla vetrina piena di dolci di questa pasticceria, in particolar modo dalle fette di Sacher esposte, pertanto siamo entrati per assaggiarne una porzione. Il locale è piccolino, ma ci sono diversi posti a sedere. Ci siamo accomodati e abbiamo ordinato un caffè e una porzione di Sacher (dall’espressione del ragazzo che ha preso la nostra ordinazione abbiamo capito che forse non aveva apprezzato che avessimo ordinato solo una porzione di dolce da dividere e un caffè, ma al di là dell’espressione mimica facciale non ha detto nnt). Per la prima volta da quando siamo qui a Merano il caffè ci è stato servito con un bicchierino d’acqua senza che lo chiedessimo (cosa molto apprezzata) e la Sacher ha superato di gran lunga le nostre aspettative! A mio parere non ho mai mangiato una Sacher così buona al di fuori di Vienna. Il conto è stato di 7,50€, accettabile per la grandezza della porzione e per la bontà della torta, peccato per il servizio, basterebbe davvero poco per far sentire i clienti più accolti. Al di là di tutto ritorneremo sicuramente prima di partire per mangiare un’altra fetta...

Die Kuchen sahen sehr gut aus, alles machte einen guten Eindruck. Leider kam ich nicht in den Genuss es auch zu testen. Am Tisch stand noch alles meiner Vorgänger. In der ganzen Zeit über wurden diese Reste nich abgeräumt; anscheinend dachte man, es wäre meine Bestellung. Obwohl man dies vermutete, blieb aber ebenfalls die Frage aus, ob ich noch etwas möchte. Links und rechts wurde bedient. Mein Tisch blieb aus. Mit einer Selbstverständlichkeit wurde ich ignoriert. Schließlich ging ich in ein anderes Cafe, bei dem Service und der Kunde als König noch Vorrang haben. Ein erneuter Besuch ist zwar nicht ausgeschlossen, jedoch nicht in Bälde und er wird gut überlegt sein....
