I stopped here on the way from the airport for my first coffee in Sardinia, because I heard that it's worth trying the local "meringue grande". The coffee and meringue were very tasty, and the old furniture and all the interior design create a unique atmosphere, as if I had gone back in time to the 19th century. Locale storico di Cagliari. All’ambiente più di cinque stelle non si può dare perché è come fare un salto indietro dí minimo 50/60 indietro nel passato. Gentili e preparate le due ragazze dietro al banco Letizia e Manuela mi pare. Grandissimo assortimento di tutti i tipi delle famose pastiglie leone. Dai pacchetti più economici da tenere in tasca a quelli più costosi per fare dei bei regali.

Io sono andato per assaggiare le famosissime meringhe di tramer che se anche io, vero cagliaritano doc, con una mia zia (Gianna) che abitava proprio lì di fronte sopra il tabacchino e ho passato intere sere a vederli a giocare intorno al tavolo rotondo a giocare a canasta, non avevo mai assaggiato.

Beh, oggi complice mia figlia che ha invitato a pranzo una sua amichetta ho voluto farle assaggiare questa specialità dalle ricetta segreta e tramandata di generazione in generazione (credo tre…) delle meringhe di tramer.

Tutti ne parlano il posto è molto Instagrammabile, vi consiglio una visita.

Le meringhe nonostante siano dolcissime per il mio gusto sono leggerissime è friabilissime, occhio a come le si prende . Invece la crema indescrivibile che le unisce e’ bella consistente e credo sia fatta da un mix di panna e burro e zucchero. Credo....
