Il Fanà — Restaurant in Cagliari

Overrated! Read the reviews and came in with high expectations. This is the perfect wanna be restaurant where style (not much anyway) prevails over substance. The mixed sea fruits antipasti was a bit of a joke. Huge platter with bite size bits. The prawns with (very bitter olives!) in bland, soupy sauce with stylised raw cucumber was a huge disappointment. When you peel the shells to the four five prawns you end up with so little actual prawn it’s not even funny. The lobster linguini was ok... though nothing to write home about. Confused if edible red sauce. Desert was a train wreck sadly... Pana cota was a floaty slush or floating island. Typical Wobbliness nowhere to be found. And what was the cherry sauce doing on top of the hazelnut torrago (?) - local icecream? Overall - quite disappointing. Wine was decent but wine list is also a bit of a joke. Random one word names of wine that are supposed to mean something to the diner...? Nope. Service was lovely. Had a helpful waitress who did her best to talk to...

Bad, bad, bad !!!!!!! For two people, we only ordered seafood tagliatelle, with sea bream and fries. We had waited 1 hour, the reception is icy, the owner overwhelmed, who only smiles at her local customers, for the others, she totally despises us (moreover, she hides in the kitchen and lets her two waitresses run around .) The dishes, nothing exceptional and frankly, the pasta, we could cook it ourselves, only, two shrimps and 5 mussels, it's shameful!!!! For fries, same, very few fries. Very disappointed, long wait, while few people when we arrived and to conclude, the water is charged at 4€ while all the restaurants we have been to so far were at 2€!!! To flee, does not even deserve to continue to exist given the deplorable service !!! Sorry for my english, we are...

Io e 3 amiche abbiamo cenato qui sabato sera. Al momento della prenotazione telefonica, abbiamo acconsentito a sederci momentaneamente su un tavolo da 2 per essere spostate su uno da 4 non appena si fosse liberato. Appena arrivate, in perfetto orario, il tavolo da 4 stava venendo apparecchiato e ci è stato detto di aspettare un attimo per accomodarci lì. Nel frattempo una collega, credo la caposala, ha deciso di farci invece sedere su un tavolo più piccolo per tutta la serata, nonostante non fosse quanto promesso. Abbiamo dovuto attendere 30 minuti solo per ordinare e, al momento dell'ordine, la cameriera ci ha suggerito di ordinare anche un antipasto perché i piatti scelti richiedevano una preparazione di 20 minuti. Abbiamo acconsentito, ma alla fine le portate principali (2 fritture e 2 orate) sono arrivate 1 ora e un quarto dopo l'ordinazione. Ci siamo lamentate più volte in maniera garbata per l'attesa eccessiva, così come altre persone ai tavoli vicino a noi, e la "caposala" non ha perso occasione di giustificarsi frettolosamente con scuse come "è sabato sera" per poi defilarsi senza nemmeno aspettare una nostra risposta. I piatti, dopo aver detto alla cameriera che avevamo intenzione di andare via senza più comsumarli, hanno iniziato ad arrivare ma comunque a lunga distanza di attesa l'uno dall'altro e l'orata era condita con dello zafferano assolutamente non specificato nel menù. Al momento del pagamento abbiamo ribadito di esserci sentite prese in giro e chiesto uno sconto visto il disagio causato. Ci è stato invece fatto pagare tutto, perfino il coperto, e ci è stato offerto un dolce che abbiamo rifiutato per non dover ritardare ulteriormente i nostri successivi impegni. La giustificazione della cameriera per il disagio causato è stata sempre la stessa: "è sabato sera e cuciniamo tutto al momento". Peccato che al momento dell'ordine il tempo di preparazione comunicato fosse stato di 20 minuti, non di 1 ora e un quarto. Una presa in giro, così come la promessa di un tavolo da 4 anziché da 2. Con gentilezza, abbiamo fatto semplicemente notare che sarebbe bastato essere onesti fin dalla telefonata di prenotazione. A questo punto ci è stata data la risposta più originale di tutte: "siete arrivati tutti insieme" (credo rifertito ai tavoli del ristorante che comunque non era...
