Lithium Cafè — Restaurant in Cagliari

I sat on this lovely shady patio (with a nice breeze!) for some wine late one afternoon. The first glass was a nice dry white wine. I asked for a second glass and was brought something terrible - it tasted like a sugary apple juice turned to vinegar. I love Italian wine, and also am usually able to drink any wine - good or not. But this wine was undrinkable. All the wine I’ve had here on Sardinia has been amazing, so it’s such an outlier they would serve something so terrible as to be undrinkable. I can only liken it to cheap wine I’ve been served in Mexico. The table next to me had warned me, because she had been served the same wine the night before and been unable to drink it, but I assumed he would bring me the same as I initially ordered. Apparently they ran out?!

It’s hard to imagine anyone liking this wine.

That said, the patio is nice, so if you drink beer or coffee, this could be a nice place to sit and cool down in the shade. Just don’t order the...

Non fermatevi qui! Ci siamo avvicinati e seduti al tavolo. Solo il mio compagno aveva preso un gelato nella gelateria adiacente. I tavoli erano praticamente liberi. Ad un certo punto si avvicina una ragazza che mi ha fatto molta tenerezza. Stavo per ordinare proprio la mia consumazione (io non amo il gelato), quando lei mi ha detto che non poteva prendere l’ordine. Ci ha invitato ad alzarci immediatamente dal tavolo in quanto il mio compagno stava completando di mangiare la coppetta. E siccome il gelato e del negozio a fianco, non andava bene.. Io giro spesso in tutta Italia. Non mi è mai successa una cosa del genere. Sicuramente non torneremo più e sconsiglio vivamente di sedersi qui. Ovviamente la ragazza seguiva le direttive del suo titolare.. Ho ringraziato la ragazza e mi sono avviata sotto i portici dove ho preso la mia consumazione. Sconsiglio sempre i locali dove c’è aria di maleducazione. Si vedono. Sono spaventosamente vuoti. La risposta del titolare che ho ricevuto oggi conferma la situazione. A real gem! This bar is just perfect, nice location with the shade of trees outside. The coffee is excellent, the sweets as well. Make sure to try the ‘pizzette sfolia’, only to be had in Cagliari apparently. They are so good you might think they hide them 😂. Above all the staff will make you feel welcome. I have been there...
