"Da Gregorio" Ristorante/Bar — Restaurant in Capri

PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING!!!!

Worst restaurant I have eaten in the whole of Italy. The view is the only thing nice here but doesnt justify the price and horrendous quality of food.

I ordered Vongole, Pasta was undercooked and bland. Feels like they just made plain pasta and added oil on top. Clams were too salty. Even my dog could cook better pasta than this restaurant, it tasted like dog food anyways. I paid 26€ for that plate of food that could be found in a pet store.

Service was plain terrible. Maybe it was because we are asian and young, servers showed no interest in serving us and the bill took 20 minutes to arrive after asking 5 times. The waiter would just look at me after and then run back to the kitchen or set up tables while we just sat there and waited. After 20mins of doing nothing, the oldest waiter there came with the bill and it was 5€ for water and 4€ per person for coperto. After he said service was not included and kept guilt tripping me by saying “you did not like the service?” after I politely refused. He repeated this phrase for at least 5 times. I would have if the service and food was better but I felt that I had really overpaid for such disappointing food.

I do not get how people are still visiting this restaurant but for all those planning to go please think twice. Im sure any other place in Capri is better than this. You can just see the view of the beach later. The view in the restaurant is not worth upsetting your stomach for...

We picked Ristorante La Piazzetta because it seemed to have okay reviews, what a mistake that was. While on our honeymoon, doing a day trip to Capri…..figure we grab some lunch. Despite being a bit expensive we decide to try it anyway. Gorgeous view but turns out that the food and service was the worst we’ve had in all of Italy. The spaghetti and risotto was severely undercooked, it was disgusting; didn’t bother to complain as our boat was minutes away from departure. The server was extremely rude so we just quashed our complaints but then he would not bring us our bill, even after requesting it a few times!! Our order included Spaghetti with clams, Risotto with seafood and two coffees for $72 euros. Ristorante La Piazzetta ruined our Capri experience and the bald older server with glasses fortified himself as one of the most disrespectful people on the island. Would of left -10 stars for blatantly terrible service and would suggest anyone considering to eat at Ristorante La Piazzetta to avoid it like the...

Lousy service and tasteless food. When we came to the restaurant we had to wait 10 min for a table. Then we had to wait 15 min to order. We waited almost 30 min for the food which was partly cold when we got it. On top of that, there was a hair in my food, and the waiter pretended not to see it, and then excused it with the windy weather and the fact that the hair didn’t match the color of his hair. He took the plate away without excusing or giving us the chance to leave without paying. I got a new plate of food with no hair and a bit warmer than the first. We then had to wait another 10-15 min for the check, and although we had our credit card ready we had to wait AGAIN to be able to pay… 47 euros for two plates of pasta and 1 bottle of water… unbelieveable….. wouldn’t recommend this...
