I photographed this Marina from the public gardens and from the gardens associated with Museum Correale. I also used Marina Piccola to take a small boat to Capri and the larger (more comfortable) Ferry to Positano (it then goes on to Amalfie). I had a cappuccino, in a marina restaurant, while waiting to board my ferry; a good spot for people watching. Many tour groups (small and large) use this Marina - so leave plenty of time to purchase your Ferry Ticket! Great view and pictures. Seems cleaner than the Grande Marina. There’s a better view of Sorrento from here than the Grande Marina too. Lots of shops and eating. There’s also an elevator for 1€ to get you up or down. Worth it if you plan on lots of walking. However, as I like all marinas, I could easily have spent a half-day watching boats and ferries come and go - taking photos - and people watching. There is quite a steep hill, and steps, going down to it from Piazza Tassa. Busses also leave Piazza Tassa for the marina - return. Recommended for sightseeing and essential for catching ferries. Cruise Ships also dock near the...
Read moreMarina Piccolo is on the opposite side of Capri to where all the ferries arrive. There is no direct route, but you can walk down steps from Capri Town. I wouldn't recommend walking up them though! The beach is very small and stoney. People sunbathe very close together. There are a few beach clubs where you can pay €40+ for a sunbed for the day. As with everything in Capri, it's pricey! We kayaked with Hydro and they were great. Our tour went from Marina Piccolo out to the cliffs and into some caves. Remember that there is no direct bus from Marina Piccolo to Marina Grande so leave plenty of time to make...
Read moreThe only beach that you could find in the town of Capri for free. The rest private beaches start with a few of 20 euros only for entrance, which is quite a lot and unreasonable. I went down by foot from the funicular and then had a walk down by Via Krupp. If you are with comfortable shoes, I would recommend you to go by foot as the views are amazing. After that, since I ran out of my powers, I took the bus to the city centre of Capri. They have them every 15 minutes, but have in mind that after 16:30 there are a lot of people going to the bus stop, so you might need to wait a...
