We stopped here at this place as we saw that has a view and we said to give it a chance. When we entered we've been greeted by the owner which had a Arabic Scarf around his neck . We asked if we can stay by the tables in front and said they are Reserved and offered a different table which we accepted. Although while we dinned only 1 table camed and other 2 we're still empty , typical no common sense from untrained owner. Food wasn't special , you can find better at a Market . Tiramisu and the complimentary Almond Wine was nice . What was shocking it was the Owner that literally stood there and at one point was shouting with full Restaurant to his staff to close the Glass doors as it was a bit windy , perhaps he needs some proper Hospital Training as the staff looked like being forced of working there and sometimes terrified. Now I understand why Italy is falling apart, just because of this terrible behaviour of so called "Patrons" which they dont have any skills or moral knowledge about Hospitality and they still wondering why their business is not performing properly. Every guest in the Restaurant felt extremely uncomfortable. I will suggest to AVOID at all cost this Resto, its not worth just for the view . Not even a CIAO when we left . Again , very low unprofessional hospitality from this...
Read moreMy first food disappointment during my trip to Sicili. Still, maybe Marzamemi, Ragusa, and the other parts have different standards (it is my first day in this region). But when I was looking at the comments, I was not the only one with the same impression.
If you are looking for a famed sicilian kitchen, I think you can do much better.
Food: good/average for sicilian standards. There are a lot of dishes based on frozen products, which might be surprising so close to the shore. The fish of the day, as recommended by the waiter, was fresh and tasty. Still compared to the other places in Sicili, it was really average. Pisatchio Tartufo, you will get a better one in any italian gelateria. Prawns were good.
The biggest surprise was that I've eaten olive oil Mt Etna without any taste. It was my first time in Italy when I had such experience (I live in Italy).
There is almost nothing to drink analcolic, but this is quite common in Sicili, unfortunately. Even simple Chinotto would be nice instead of fanta, coca cola
Service: very attentive and helpful. They really try to service you the best of the best to fit your needs. I absolutely...
Read moreThe service and the food were great. Unfortunately they did not manage the space well. On my birthday we went to eat and Two tables (2 families with 4 screaming kids) were behind us. Kids were out of control. The manager could said something to the parents to control the crying and screaming kids popping from table to table totally out of control. This comes from the family education although they could have said something to the parents to help keep that small restaurant quieter or put those tables in the corner of the restaurant. Restaurant do have power to make things better and more comfortable to all the guests around (waiter/waitresses shared our same thought and could not work properly) because we did not spend an enjoyable night and would not come back just because of the management of the whole situation....
