Bar Sgroi — Restaurant in Catania

We were in Catania for 1 week and we had breakfast in this bar everyday (when opened). This bar is very busy, lots of locals and many turists come here. They serve excellent coffees and super fresh pastries. Flaky and fragrant croissants, still warm from the oven with different stuffing (apricot, Pistacchio cream, custard and even whole wheat) these are delisious!! They also make pastries stuffed with Ricotta. Service was good, the barista was a nice. The woman at the cash was often on the cellphone, seemed bit lost. Other staff members were a bit cold. We've been on this place 3 days in a row to eat canoli and other sweets. On the 3rd day they overcharged us for Cannoli cake and their explanation was "service charge". In the previous days we behaved the same: ordering, getting Cannoli on a plastic plate and sitting at the table, enjoying it. We were not charged with "service charge" before. They also charged us 4 euro for 2 small cookies, way too much compared to previous days. Unfortunately, the cookies didn't have a name on the counter so we couldn't check the price in the menu.
