Iris-Doc Sicilian Street Food — Restaurant in Catania

The food was fantastic! My friend ate a pistachio cream filled iris, i tried one spinach and one chocolate flavoured iris. Despite i don't like pistachio, it was very tasty, the spinach one was delicios and it's texture was fantastic. The chocolate flavoured was sweet, but bitter, like dark chocolate, balanced flavour, incredible texture. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The place is located near the center, so it's a good choice for tourists. The price is more than reasonable, i spent less than 6 euro for 2 iris and a sicilian cola, my friend spent less than 3 euro for the pistachio iris. Abbiamo cenato usando la formula della box 12 iris piccoli. Eravamo due e abbiamo assaggiato di tutto,sia salati che dolci. Ed era facile distinguerli perché sopra ogni iris è disegnato un simbolo che ti permette di riconoscere il suo contenuto. Noi con il menù in mano ci siamo divertiti a scegliere, giocando sui gusti da provare,assaggiando di volta in volta uno diverso. Da quello con il ripieno con carne di cavallo, alla norma, alla catanese,zucca-speck e noci,pistacchio e pancetta,salsiccia e friarielli, nduja,polpo e patate,nero di seppia, spinaci,ricotta e parmigiano,crema pasticcera, crema cioccolato,crema di pistacchio, ricotta e gocciole di cioccolato.
