We just left Uzeta Bistro with a bittersweet feeling—sad to leave, but already thinking we might return tomorrow for the third time (and no, it wouldn’t feel strange at all!).

This was our second dinner here, and as food lovers in search of hidden gems, we can honestly say: this is one of the greatest dining experiences .

Uzeta doesn’t just serve the best arancini in Catania—it serves some of the best food anywhere. Based in London, we’re spoiled with access to incredible world cuisine, and we often travel across Europe chasing unforgettable food experiences. At Uzeta, we found one of those rare places that you carry with you for life.

From the moment we sat down, the owner’s warm wine recommendation set the tone, and what followed was a journey of taste and color. Every dish—pasta, arancini, tartare, sashimi, cheeses, and desserts—was executed with perfect balance: authentic Sicilian soul, lifted by modern creativity.

The atmosphere, the host, the team—everything here is real, heartfelt, and unforgettable. Uzeta is not just a restaurant. It’s an experience, a memory, and a love letter to Sicilian food.

Unbelievable. Smashing. Absolutely perfect. Grazie mille, Uzeta—see you again soon! Bulgaria ( London...

A lovely and very special restaurant with fantastic staff. The best service and wine we've received in Catania by far. Very friendly, personal, and attentive staff - always keeping an eye out for your needs. A wide but local wine list made it hard to choose but we were offered tasters and recommendations which meant we ended up with a wonderful bottle of white, even at the cheaper end of the menu. As for the food, there is something different to be had here - none of the 'traditional' options but a nod to many of them can be found on the menu. Each dish we had was beautiful and delicate (although would have benefitted from more vegetables or salad which may have been a side dish option we missed). The portions allow you to comfortably enjoy 3 courses if you wish. The price is high compared to other restaurants in Catania but good value compared to what we're used to in London. Visit if you're done with the traditional menu offered in most places or for a...

Went for dinner by myself, 3 courses with water and coffee cost me €30. Had the arancini to start, octopus for main and cannolo for dessert. Service was great. Food was good. Arancini, delish and fresh but cold in the middle (not sure if this is how it's supposed to be?). Octopus was cooked perfectly, tasted char grilled and smokey even though menu said roasted (which makes me think baked), but the sauces to me were under seasoned. I get that they need to be of subtle flavour as to not overtake the delicate octopus, but the sauces did not taste seasoned to me whatsoever and with the octopus being so smokey I think it could have withstood some salty/sweet flavouring in the sauces. Dessert was perfect for my taste when I used all of the powdered sugar garnish👌they even have decaf espresso. Overall really nice light meal that left me feeling full in the best way. If I was here longer I would probably want to go try more of...

We had our dinner there on a Saturday evening. Due to the fact that the restaurant was full, the service team was running and running. We sat outside, the waitress served water within one minute and after that (and before we had the chance to order drinks and food) the running continued without looking at our table again. Though we have to point out that it was full inside, outside there were only three tables occupied. As we finally had the chance to order we had really good food, the menu is quite extraordinary in comparison to the other restaurants we visited these days. To conclude: nice food but poor service which made us feel like we did not belong there.
