Right in the central, cheap and tasty local famous restaurant right across. That’s what I was coming here for, as recommended by the locals. And then found this B&B matching it right across.
Driving late, a bit hard to locate, almost 8:30pm when arriving. What a city centre feeling the heaven and hell interesting mixed of Mexico, Brazil not to go out alone idea. Especially lady solo traveller. Yet this hotel feels safe. Getting used to it in no time.
Very welcoming and friendly host, Silvio, hope I spell his name correctly. Big spacious room. High ceilings. Classic rustic red as in the 50s decoration, like in the movies Shine for a moment. There’s a few pictures in the room, one of them is a lady, as if she’s looking at you. That’s the only place have to turn on my music all night. Wifi works most of the time. Good breakfast.
Classic small packet shower gel like in Cinque Terre. For ladies, bring your own conditioner. To fix: Toilet flush.
Driving is not easy here. Never mind find a proper parking. Best is to ask the B&B. He simply asked another very nice gentleman downstairs to look after my rental car for €12. Silvio simply signaled from the top 5th floor to the ground in order to expect my parking. That part is funny, like back in the 50s, as...
Read moreHorrible place to stay. We spent 3 nights there and couldn't wait to leave. The rooms lack elementary sound proof, they face a very noisy street area and the windows are so poor that you have the feeling you don't have any windows, this is how bad you hear the street. We also had a bonus, every morning at 6,30 am the dustmen were emptying garbage bins below our window for 1 HOUR. So no proper rest at all. Moreover, the room was very dirty, hair and dirt from previous visitors being very visible, especially in the bathroom. Also a lot of dust in the room. Expired yougurt at breakfast, which is anyway very poor, reason of which we had breakfast in the hotel only in the first day. The fridge in the room was not functioning and an old bottle of water from a previous visitor was inside. Hotel at 2nd floor with no elevator. Baby bed requested when booking, not available in the first night. I would definitely not stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone. Pictures taken few minutes...
