La Bitta — Restaurant in Catania

My visit to this portside bar left much to be desired. The pictures on their Google account paint a far more appealing picture than the reality – the place is shabby, with dirty and wet chairs, and surprisingly, no restroom in the middle of the port. The bartenders' attitudes added to the disappointment, as they were rude and unpleasant. The stark contrast between the advertised images and the actual conditions, coupled with unwelcoming service, made for an overall unsatisfactory...

My favourite place for breakfast in Catania. Near the port with a view to the sea and the boats. It's more of a local place, where you can have coffee, croissants, granita and so on. Everything was super delicious and the bartender was super nice with advice for the local habits and with help where in Sicily we should go. The port of Catania probably isn't one of the highlights of the city, but it is significantly improved by the presence of La Bitta! The service is great, and it's a place with nice, chilled vibes! We initially just wanted a coffee and an afternoon snack, and we were very pleasantly surprised by their lush sliced fruit we ordered. It felt so good chilling in the sun at La Bitta that ended up staying for a few beers...
