At the beginning of May 2024, I was lucky to visit the beautiful Emilian city of Ferrara, a small jewel of Renaissance nature. The town is unique in beauty; it was the European capital of politics, culture, and gastronomy. And it is precisely of gastronomy that I would like to focus on. If you visit Ferrara you must try the ice cream.

Living in England, where ice cream is made on an industrial level, I can only recognize the goodness of the ice cream made in Ferrara, which is not only creamy but has a truly unique taste.

I was visiting Ferrara with my two sisters, Monica and Sabrina, on May 4th, 2024, the very day of the opening of The Palio with the blessing in the cathedral. We discovered a small ice cream shop with great taste: Sorgente Del Gelato ice cream shop.

We returned home with the memory of delicious ice cream and a small souvenir of the glass cup containing the semifreddo.

Gelato eccezionale, con una varietà di sapori che spaziano dalle classiche opzioni come cioccolato e vaniglia, a creazioni più originali e innovative. L'atmosfera all'interno della gelateria è accogliente e moderna. Il personale è molto cordiale e gentile. Il prezzo del gelato è molto ragionevole, considerando la qualità degli ingredienti e la cura con cui è stato preparato.
