Osteria Della Campana — Restaurant in Ferrara

My boyfriend and I were happy searching for a place for having lunch. Unfortunately, the person who received us seemed to have some personal problems, and then was sarcastic with us. I argued that if it was the way they treated tourists in this city, and the person just offended me insulting me regarding my appearance, very disrespectful. It's horrible when someone is lacking education and goes to this low level insulting a woman ( or could be anyone) regarding her body. Also, you should know, we are not Americans, and I understood everything you told me in Italian, including calling me fat ( Gord@ and Porc@). Please, stop being a liar on internet, because you know, we were not drunk and didn't showed you a finger, because we are not in your level. Horrible, actually I'm still in the city for a event, I have a photo of of you and possible could go reporting you to Police. Based on some last reviews I don't need to say anything more. Lots of people are saying about the owner...

Attenzione!! I have never seen such a bad and rude behaviour like this. We came to this empty, shady restaurant and asked for a place to seat. I was shocked about the incredibly rude and badly insulting staff there who hit us with very bad insults! When we left he even shouted after us using very bad insults. My girlfriend cried thereafter. I ask the owner to contact me to go through this reputation-killing experience in his place!! I have a photo of the person who was so incredibly disrespectful and am happy to share.

Edit: watch his ridiculous, fully dishonest reply and you can estimate what a poor place this is. Very happy we were chased away by his behaviour and did not leave a penny with this dark, empty place. We consider opening a complaint at the local police for serious insult for no reason (we just asked if we could still eat since they put opening hours until 15:30 on Google and this triggered the Italian's...

Situated in a quiet alley sits this lovely restaurant. I’d definitely recommend to try but get there early as service is not the quickest. There is a large indoor seating area and also some outdoor courtyard table seats. Sometimes kids play football in the alley but it doesn’t cause any problems, it’s just a bit noisy, especially when there is no other music being played.

⭐️ staff were friendly but incredibly slow. We were lucky but other tables were waiting even longer just for the menu. 🍽️ the food was good.
